Description

A citrus reamer, also known as a lemon reamer or simply a reamer, is a small kitchen utensil used to extract the juice from a lemon or other small citrus fruit. The “soft touch” handles have a rubberized area that makes them a little less slippery when squeezing, and the center of the bowl is raised up in the middle.

The juicing process is incredibly efficient, and it’s fun too; there’s a very satisfying pop you can feel when you fully lower the handle and split the peel of larger fruits. There was also a silicone spring that added just the right amount of leverage to take some stress away from the wrists. Also, the instructions say to use one reamer at a time, but we found that leaving the yellow reamer on top of the orange one reduces the amount of pulp that ends up in the juice, though this method works best with smaller fruits. Because of their hinged design, handheld juicers on average performed better than countertop models and reamers.Whether it’s pancake day or you’re making healthy, fruity drinks for the kids, this handy tool gives your recipes a real citric kick.

Because the Chef’n FreshForce handheld citrus juicer was our top pick in previous years, we were excited to try the brand’s countertop press, the Chef’n Fresh Force Tabletop Citrus Press. Because the lid is rigid, it can’t squeeze the fruit against the reamer effectively—you only get juice from the very center of the fruit. The reamer extracts juice using a convexly tapered conical mandrel, with troughs or ridges running the length of the mandrel. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). Deliveries should arrive within a few days, but we do ask you to wait 7 working days before contacting us for assistance.Manual juicers are great for a few lemons, limes, or oranges, if you need the juice for a recipe or if you’re making a smaller batch of lemonade. Because of its inside ridged design, it kept the lemon halves in place and the drainage slits curved down towards the center of the bowl, allowing you to direct the juice towards a container easily. We wanted to know if the attachments were worth the extra effort and space, or if they were mere gimmicks. OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer: While this squeezer didn’t yield as much juice, it was sturdy and had rubber on its handles for added grip.

The juice yield from this squeezer was fine, but it definitely required a little more effort than similar models. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Sure, KitchenAid makes good products, but could its handheld citrus press really be that much better than every other handheld citrus press out there? This compact 2-in-1 tool from KitchenCraft Healthy Eating makes preparing citrus fruit quick and convenient. What we liked: This juicer conveniently came with two reamers: one for lemons and limes and an adaptable orange reamer that fits right on top of the lemon reamer.Handheld citrus squeezers actually keep your hands clean but usually require a good deal of hand strength to use and they always leave a little juice behind. The handheld reamer, which is held in one hand while the lemon or lime is held in the other, is a relatively new adaptation of the traditional glass or plastic citrus reamer (with a juice rim) that was placed on a table and pressed downward. She initially declined saying she didn't want me to have to go through all the extra trouble of squeezing all those lemons. OXO Good Grips 2-in-1 Citrus Juicer: This countertop juicer comes with two reamers that stack on top of each other for easy storage.
