Description

I used to be a fan of the iconic lotion when it was first launched and even finished a few bottles before I started trying other brands in the market. Immediate crush! I have never used a product that was so effective at hydrating in this format and price before. It’s not a small product so it lasts for quite some time! All the products in this range still contain hyaluronic acid but also ingredients to boost the complexion’s radiance: Hada Labo, translates as “Skin Laboratory” is a skincare brand created by the Japanese pharmaceutical company Rohto. Rohto Pharmaceutical Company Ltd is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical and cosmetics in Japan. Hada Labo is well known throughout South East Asia and is most famous for their their Hyaluronic Acid Lotion! It got so popular that they made a whole range of product around it. Well who doesn’t want to ride the popularity wave!

Contains 7 types of hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid, Super Hyaluronic Acid, Nanodiode Hyaluronic Acid, Skin-Absorbing Hyaluronic Acid, 3D Hyaluronic Acid, Fermented Hyaluronic Acid, and Penetration Type Hyaluronic Acid) However, unless you live in Asia, it’s not always easy to find and especially at first, it’s also not that obvious which one to choose because there are a lot of different versions. They help loosen up the dirt and grime from your skin and hair to allow for water to wash it away with ease. Rub or pat your hands together to distribute the product using the warmth of your hands. It is not recommended to apply these lotions with a cotton pad. arbutin, a lightening ingredient and also a natural derivative of hydroquinone but which doesn’t have any toxic effect,

Even though this product may be considered as a “toner,” it does such a great job of keeping my skin very moisturized to the extent that I don’t need to apply as much cream moisturizer as I used to to be able to keep my skin hydrated. This means that I can minimize the skin care products that I use on my skin, which is perfect because my skin tends to become stressed if I use too many different kinds of products.

Hada Labo Moisturizing Cleansing Oil is designed to deep clean and gently remove dirt, excessive oil, heavy makeup, and even waterproof mascara. The formula is water-soluble and does not leave an unpleasant greasy feeling behind. One of the key ingredients in this cleansing oil is high purity Olea Europaea (olive) fruit oil. Olive oil contains several types of fatty acids, such as oleic, palmitic, and linoleic acid, as well as phenolic compounds that provide antioxidant benefit. Another type of oil in this product is Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, which is mostly comprised of long-chain fatty acid esters (97%), but also contains small amounts of vitamins, minerals, triglycerides, phospholipids, and tocopherols. Jojoba oil improves the skin’s barrier function, helps to prevent transepidermal water loss, and provides anti-inflammatory effects. Since oil absorbs oil, both olive oil and jojoba oil can effectively remove dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin, leaving it clean. Kind of. Hada Labo lotions are sometimes described as toners, as they have a similar liquid consistency and are applied at the same point in a skincare routine, immediately after cleansing. However, they serve a different purpose to the Western concept of a toner. Japanese lotions are not astringent, instead they are gentle and soften the skin, acting as a first layer of moisturization and preparing it for the steps that follow. Is Hada Labo lotion a moisturizer? Also selecting the right variant may not be easy because there are so many of them! The lotion has two ranges the moisturizing range called Goku Jyun and the brightening range called Shiro Jyun. In each of these ranges, there are further variations for the different skin types and needs.

Next level hydration. With 4 types of HA, collagen, retinol, and tetra-peptides, this range is specially formulated to help rehydrate, rejuvenate and restore bounce and elasticity – as well as targeting fine lines and wrinkles. Benefit Hyaluronic acid is a powerful ingredient that is naturally produced by the body; however, the production rate reduces as you get older, which can result in wrinkles and fine lines. For this reason, it is important to keep feeding your skin hyaluronic acid to ensure that it stays hydrated and soft. While it is a popular ingredient that is widely used in most skincare brand, Hada Labo has created a truly unique formula unlike any other brand in the market! Let’s dive in to the Best 14 Hada Labo Skincare Products in 2021. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid: This is a low molecular weight version of Hyaluronic acid. It is a variant of the Hyaluronic Acid which is chemically reduced in size because the HA molecule is big in size. This reduction helps is it getting absorbed into the skin easily. Read a detailed post about HA & why its the super start moisturizing ingredient here.Using the lotion is really simple, too: simply pour it out in one hand and press your palms together to warm up the product a little. Then, pat it gently on your skin, morning and night, right after your cleansing or toning step. Even though it’s formulated for dry and normal skin, I didn’t experience any irritation from this product at all. In fact, I find that it’s helped my makeup stay put even longer. Apart from the positive changes in the skin hydration department, I noticed a visible decrease in my skin’s sebum levels too after three to four days! Methylparaben: It is a low cost preservative used to preserve the formula for longer. Read a detailed post about Parabens here.

If you have read about any of my other articles, you may know that I love, love, love the Hada Labo Skincare line. Their products are just very simple, which makes it easier for all people with different skin types to use it––especially myself, as my skin condition tends to change during different seasons. The Hada Labo brand favors simple and short formulas, fragrance, dye, and mineral oil free. They’re also formulated at a pH between 5.0 and 6.5 to respect the skin’s natural physiological balance. They are therefore perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive! As I mentioned earlier, don’t be fooled by the term “lotion”, because Hada Labo Lotion is more like an essence, a kind of liquid moisturizing treatment with a slightly viscous texture. In a way! Japanese lotions are considered a preparation step, one that sits in between cleansing and moisturizing. Designed to soften the skin, they are often followed with other moisturizing products (such as milks, emulsions and creams) which are layered on top. That said, though it’s not recommended by the brand, depending on your skin type and needs some people do use this as their only moisturizer. The Hada Labo range features hyaluronic acid which acts as a magnet for moisture, providing intense hydration to help smooth the skin. Hada Labo Lotion vs MilkSodium Hyaluronate: It is also a humectant. Sodium Hyaluronate and Hyaluronic Acid are the same and the two names are used interchangeably. There has been some healthy controversy surrounding them due to a few studies finding paraben presence in breast tumours and breast tissue. However, the majority of the scientific community have deemed these findings non-conclusive due to the limitations of these studies. This oil-balancing lotion is from the Kiwamizu line and designed for those with pore concerns. It contains one kind of hyaluronic acid, two amino acids, five minerals and hatomugi extract (coix seed extract). Also contains alcohol.
