Forget boring! Dave Strehler’s The Bible Made Easy – for Kids takes readers both young and old on a fun-filled, informative journey to understand the Bible and apply it to their lives.

The biblical narrative focuses primarily on these three sons, as they played significant roles in the early events of human history. Seth's line is particularly emphasized because it is through him that the godly lineage continued, leading to figures such as Noah and eventually to Abraham and the establishment of the Israelite people. Who Were Cain and Abel? Story bibles are a great place to start, and there are many different ones available with engaging illustrations and easy-to-read text. This is another word for word Scripture Bible (not a story book) in the Holman Christian Standard translation, and it’s another favorite in our home.

Versions

Moreover, the Holy Bible comes in various formats tailored to kids’ needs. There’s the large print edition for those who’re just beginning to read, and storybook versions with illustrations that capture toddlers’ imaginations. For kindergarteners and preschoolers, the Precious Moments series offers tender illustrations alongside simplified bible stories. Two basic premises guided the translation process. The first concern was that the translation be faithful to the manuscripts in the original languages. A team composed of the World Bible Translation Center and twenty-one additional, highly qualified and experienced Bible scholars and translators was assembled. The team included men with translation experience on such accepted versions as the New International Version, the New American Standard Bible and the New King James Version. The most recent scholarship and the best available Hebrew and Greek texts were used, principally the third edition of the United Bible Societies’ Greek text and the latest edition of the Biblia Hebraica, along with the Septuagint. A Clear Translation

Cain: Cain was the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. Unfortunately, he became a farmer and is infamous for committing the first murder in the Bible by killing his brother Abel. According to the Bible, Adam and Eve, the first human beings created by God, had several children. The most well-known of their children mentioned in the Bible are Cain, Abel, and Seth: Delve into the profound depths of bible and biblical teachings tailored for children. Understand the fundamental role of scripture in shaping young minds, instilling values, and nurturing faith, spirituality, and moral understanding from a tender age. Nurturing Your Child’s Spiritual GrowthTwo basic premises guided the translation process. The first concern was that the translation be faithful to the manuscripts in the original languages. A team composed of the World Bible Translation Center and twenty-one additional highly qualified and experienced Bible scholars and translators was assembled. The team included translators with experience working on the New International Version, the New American Standard Bible, and the New King James Version. The NIrV is not the only good kids Bible translation, but it is a good choice for elementary school students. The NIrV is translated from the original languages of the Bible and it’s easy to read. It has a reading level of grade 3-5, making it perfect for early elementary school students. Another good kids Bible translation is the New King James Version (NKJV), which has a reading level of grade 6-8. Which bible translation is right for my child’s reading level?

The International Children’s Bible® is not a storybook or a paraphrased Bible. It is a translation of God’s Word from the original Hebrew and Greek languages. Two of my kids were early readers, and two began reading independently a little later. Consider your child’s reading level when choosing a Bible for your kids to read independently. If the reading part is a challenge, it is more likely they will resist reading the Bible. We want to help make their Bible time as accessible and inviting as possible. My preschoolers have loved this Bible, and the bonus is the audio CDs, so the kids can listen to the story as they read. We love that it emphasizes the Bible as one big story with Jesus at the center, and the stories are told simply enough for preschoolers to understand and remember.

As he got older, we transitioned to a study bible, which helped him understand the Bible in a deeper way and learn how to find specific scriptures on his own.

Listen! is a collection of scripture readings for children for use in liturgical celebrations and school assemblies, retold from the Bible by A. J. McCallen with illustrations by Ferelith Eccles Williams, and published by Collins Liturgical Publications in 1976.Assuming that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and there no “Pre-Adamic” beings that humans mated with, it would seem that Cain and Seth Eve must have married women descended from Adam and Eve.
