During the instrumental part, various sea creatures (such as sea lilies, flying gurnards, limpets, Spanish dancers, mimic octopuses, ribbon eels, and more species of jellyfish) take part in dancing with Ariel and later during the final verse, unlike in the original film where Ariel escapes with help from Flounder.
