Steve Harrington, portrayed by Joe Keery, is a main character in Stranger Things, having a recurring role in the first season before being promoted to the main cast from the second season onwards. In "The Bite", Steve, in a drugged state, told Dustin that he "[didn't] do drugs ... just marijuana." It's unknown if he's smoked previously or continued this habit. Oggi parliamo della graphic novel Stranger Things - Il sottosopra, dato che la terza stagione è uscita da poco e l'hype è altissimo. Though he was credited as a recurring character throughout the first season, Steve appeared in all eight episodes before being promoted to a series regular from the second season onward. No doubt, the Duffers are in for continued success for their beloved project, paying homage to the 80s. Stranger Things is truly a cultural phenomenon that only seems to grow in popularity with each installment.

That night at the party, Steve had a confrontation with Billy, who had beaten his keg standing record. Nancy began drinking the spiked punch, despite Steve’s protests. She eventually became intoxicated, resulting in her confessing to Steve that she really did not have feelings for him while blaming him and herself for Barb's death. Upset, Steve left the party, later asking Jonathan to take Nancy home. The spiked bat Steve uses throughout the first two seasons originally didn't belong to him; Nancy grabbed a bat and trained to swing with it in her garage in "The Flea and the Acrobat", while Jonathan added the spikes to it in "The Upside Down". After arriving at the Byers' house and meeting with Hopper and El, Steve decided to not come inside the house, knowing Joyce was upset about the dead Demodog that was in her refrigerator a month ago, something which Hopper agreed with. Steve insisted that keeping the dead Demodog was Dustin's idea, but Dustin defended himself by saying he had no idea the dead Demodog would turn into sludge overnight. At this, Steve left as Dustin, Mike, Lucas, El, and Hopper were welcomed by Joyce and her sons to celebrate Christmas with them. Honestly, the whole read is slightly depressing, because as anyone who’s watched “Stranger Things” knows, this is a world that’s RIFE with story-potential, that has all kinds of cool and exciting avenues to explore. Yet time and time again, writer Jody Houser seems determined to play things safe, choosing instead to either a.) recap stuff that we’ve already seen play out way more interestingly on the show, or b.) give us extended sequences where characters monologue about this thing or that thing, but overall, nothing of consequence really happens. Maybe it’s not her fault – perhaps Netflix and whoever is in charge of managing the property didn’t give her a lot of narrative leash to play with. But regardless of WHO’S fault it is, it doesn’t change the fact that, at the end of the day, “Volume I” is kind of a bummer to read.

Inaspettate le scene in cui compare Will il Saggio, chiaro rimando a D&D e al primissimo episodio della serie TV.

Stranger Things: The Other Side is an exploration of Will Byers’ point of view during the events of the hit Netflix original series’ first season with darkness, loneliness and hope as pivotal themes of his unfortunate experience. Though the original pitched vision was set in Long Island, the show found its fictional home in Hawkins, simply transplanting the existing lore of Camp Hero to create unforgettable characters like Eleven and this season’s central foe, Vecna/Henry/001.I suoi pensieri, ciò che vede nel Sottosopra, le sue fughe e i discorsi fra sè e sè sono resi egregiamente e mi hanno fatto facilmente percepire l'ansia del ragazzino intrappolato in un mondo di mostri. I was super excited to read this book which contains Stranger Things: The Other Side comics #1-4. Stranger Things is one of my favorite Netflix series (all three seasons), so I grabbed this as soon as I saw it.

Transparent about their vision from the outset of the project, the Duffer Brothers described the “Montauk” show concept as “a love letter to the golden age of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King.” Considering nostalgia is a huge part of Stranger Things overarching success, it is safe to say that the pair succeeded in their aims. Insomma, questa graphic novel ha soddisfatto la mia sete di conoscenza di fan e contemporaneamente ha alleviato un po' la nostalgia che avevo verso la serie, dato che l'ho letta prima che venisse rilasciata la terza stagione! Seasons two, three, and four often place Steve to work with Dustin, or to protect the Party, earning him the moniker of "babysitter" and, to Stranger Things fans, "mom". There wasn’t any plot to this because the story starts right when Will is taken. If I wasn’t familiar with Stranger Things, I think I’d be lost and probably would’ve really disliked this book. There’s not much characterization here or any emotion between the characters. There are also important characters missing which makes this feel a bit empty and choppy, but I had to remind myself that this is meant to be solely Will’s perspective. I did appreciate the alternating time frames in between with Will and the gang playing their D&D game. Given all the stirring supernatural talk surrounding this former government operation, the Duffer Brothers tapped into a well of existing interest and fuel for the imagination. Thus, by honing in on the bizarre, unnerving history surrounding Camp Hero State Park, the pair created a sci-fi horror adventure of a lifetime. The Stranger Things Franchise

Yeah, Farrah Fawcett. You tell anyone that I just told you that, and your ass is grass, you're dead, Henderson, got it?" In "The Dive", Steve claimed to have been a certified lifeguard since 1983. Though this fact seems random, Steve was originally going to be a star swimmer. Joe Keery stated that he trained for swimming six weeks prior to the beginning of the first season. [13]
