Thanks so much for the time and effort to explain about the differences between the two Sage machines. This is partly due to the 4 hole steam tip that comes with the Pro, while the Express has a one hole steam tip, but it's not only that, I tested this too and although the Express is a bit faster with the 4 hole tip attached, it isn't as fast as the pro – so it's partly down to the new thermojet water heater. With the Barista Pro, you just use the dial and scroll to the temperature settings and adjust, couldn't be any easier. If you have no interest in assistance, and you just want an integrated grinder machine because you'd prefer to have everything in one unit, then I'd say you'd probably be better off with the Barista Pro.

I've given you all the info, so depending on your priorities you'll hopefully know at this point whether the Barista Pro is the right machine for you, or whether you'd be better going for separate machines, or for another integrated grinder machine such as the Barista Express Impress, which I think will soon become the biggest competitor for the Barista Pro, as I think so many people considering the Barista pro are actually looking for some assistance from the machine, which as I've said, you don't get from the Barista Pro. If you're wondering about that, it's really not that interesting ;-), it's just that Breville worldwide sold the brand name here in the 80s.You can get your boost of caffeine in a hot cup of coffee ready within 3 seconds thanks to its ThermoJet™ heating system which will heat your water up to exactly 93 °C to give the perfectly blended coffee flavour. Based in Ealing Broadway, London, the Artisan Coffee School is an SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) certified training centre.

Dark Wood’s Paul was a lead creator in the global team that helped develop this qualification so you can be sure of the very best in knowledge, skills and facilities when sitting your course with us!I'm talking about Sage espresso machines, assuming that you're also on this little rainy island in which they go by this brand name. One of the arguments in favour of Barista Pro was the LCD display which helps in the ease of using the machine. Digital Temperature Control (PID) delivers water at the right temperature +/- 2°c, ensuring optimal espresso extraction. I've not actually measured this, and there's probably not a massive amount in it – but the express engages the pump after steaming milk, to flush the thermocoil to drop the temperature down to shot temp, the whole process probably takes 30 seconds or so. You'll get the biggest improvements to cup quality by upgrading the grinder, especially for a more reasonable additional investment.
