This is a complex loud unique animalic 80's fragrance. It was highly impactful for its time and its a classic. Masterfully made by Pierre Bourdon. But it's a bit dated, and not very wearable by today's standards. This is more for fragrance enthusiasts than the general public. This is the shit you smelled like 24/7, and didn't even put any on. It is the essence of the mid-late 60's thru early-mid 80's generation of kids who were forced to drink from the waterhose, be in by street lights, and forced to go straight to the shower because you smelled like a rhinoceros This is a work of high perfumery that you owe it to yourself as a perfume fan to experience. Dear Mr. FU, If you read my review as a hatemonger you’ve missed the point precisely! This is an INTENSE fragrance, which makes me feel intense emotions, that is exactly what I love about it. I’m happy to see a scent has moved you to the point of defending it at all costs, because it’s exactly that kind of scent.I am 27 years old. Neither my dad nor anyone else in my family has ever worn Kouros as far as I know. I have never smelled this fragrance or any other like it on another person.

On my skin, Yves Saint Laurent Kouros starts off bright, and masculine without smelling like body odor or urine. Hello Lukas, is that you? How I have missed you. The boy who was my sparring partner in sports...long ago. I am 20 years old. But classic French oriental perfumery like this speaks to me personally. This is very challenging, of course, but this own a character, charisma. Very complex, dense, very intense formulation. A constructed musk accord, where nitro-musks, civetone and others work very well, I believe. It is balanced probably with cinnamon like raw materials and eugenol, which empower the sharpness. The patchouli note is coming through as well. I think, this is a great perfume.You really should love this style of perfumery, sadly almost no-one understands something like this these days, especially my age group people.

Europe, and you just went to one of those dirty public toilets, you know with those soaps that look like they've been sitting there for 10 years? Dry, chipping away, just the cheapest, nastiest soap imaginable. After many years of not daring to try this very manly scent (being a woman and all) I finally had a little spray on my wrist... well... it smells the same as YSL's rive gauche for women (on me), (which I also love). The only difference is on the very last couple of hours of wear. Kouros smells beautiful. It melts into my skin. Animalic, slightly sweet, floral, clean but a tad dirty. mmmmm !!!

Chalky,sweet and leathery. it kind of smells like incense they use in indian shops and don’t listen to people who say it smells disgusting cause they are just wrong and inexperienced with fragrances. There is a reason urinal cakes cloned the smell of kouros (with little to no success). This thing will increase your confidence and possibly testosterone! Pure unbashed manliness. Can be worn all seasons just watch the trigger cause it’s strong! I had been fascinated by the blue of the sea, the sky, the intense freshness which emanated from this universe dedicated to beauty.
