The OLED807 also features an upgraded, high-quality and more powerful 70W 2.1 sound system with a dedicated triple ring, rear facing bass driver supported by four passive radiators. Disney+ subscription required. Subject to terms at https://www.disneyplus.com (c) 2020 Disney and its related entities. Disney+ is available in selected languages and countries. There's no smart OS and no HDMI 2.1 – just the two standard HDMI ports. It comes in three sizes: 24-, 32- and 43-inches. New for 2022 is the Philips 9507. The company's high-end MiniLED TV features a 4K 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 support that adds VRR (variable refresh rate) and a low latency mode. It sounds like a great option for gamers, but we look forward to confirming that later in the year. New gaming features

Its picture quality, meanwhile, takes a relatively aggressive approach that will win it many fans in both crowded electronics stores and living rooms – yet it also carries modes able to give you a more accurate picture if that’s your bag. Even its sound is way more powerful than that of most rivals. The operating altitude shows the maximum admissible altitude, at which the display will function flawlessly. Above this level it might not operate properly and/or might seize to function.Android TV is also absent. Instead, this model uses the 'Saphi' operating system often found on Philips' more affordable European TVs. This could limit the number of streaming apps, but it's too early to say for sure. Colour performance is equally impressive, with the 807 hitting 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space. This means you’re getting the full benefit of HDR’s wider colour gamut, and a saturated film such as The Greatest Showman really pops. Crucially, this colour gamut isn’t just wide but also very accurate, with all the colours hitting their saturation targets precisely. Picture quality: The 77-inch LG C2 offers fantastic picture quality for the money, based on our testing. Colours held a wonderful naturalness with skin tones in The Mandalorian in Dolby Vision looking wonderfully detailed. Through our extensive suite of tests, our only complaint is that a bit of dark detail is missing when watching SDR content. Sound: On paper, the Z2 has the same audio system as LG’s G2. Specifically, it comes loaded with a 60W, 4.2-channel, down-firing arrangement. But bizarrely, actually using it in our test rooms, our reviewers found the Z2 sounded miles better than the G2.

The 5527 seems to be 32-inch version of the 5537 (above). The spec sheet points to one slight difference when it comes to audio output: a 10W mono speaker versus 6W stereo speakers. The moments where colour does become a little too aggressive are much less common in the latest Crystal Clear mode than they were in the previous similar Vivid mode, making it a much more usable preset right off the bat. In fact, it’s the picture preset Philips itself most wants you to use, as it gets the most benefit from all the image processing enhancements included within the P5 engine. Philips's 2021 OLED and Mini LED TVs feature two full-speed (48Gbps) HDMI 2.1 connections, plus support for 4K@120Hz (also known as HFR), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). Panel aside, the 9507's feature set looks to be almost identical to that of the OLED807: four-sided Ambilight, 70W 2.1 speaker system, Android TV 11 and full support for HDR (including Dolby Vision, HDR 10+ and IMAX Enhanced). You also get the top-of-the-line gaming features, including HDMI 2.1, VRR and auto low latency. It’s always a difficult but ultimately enjoyable challenge to try and improve upon a product that most experts consider to be the current superstar TV. Philips’ tone mapping is clever enough to ensure that even the new, more intense HDR highlights don’t succumb to clipping (loss of subtle shading detail). In fact, the extra 100 nits or so more of native brightness the OLED807 finds on a white HDR window actually makes clipping less rather than more likely to occur. Value for money:The A95L is a super-premium TV with a price to match. It will likely come down a bit in time, but we don't expect the A95L to drop as low as rivals such as the G3. It is much better than these rivals, though, and worth paying for if you can afford it. LG's C-series OLED TVs are always the company's most popular, and the 42-inch C3 is the baby of the 2023 range. It's got a slightly less bright panel than the larger C3 models and it doesn't feature MLA or QD-OLED tech (which hasn't yet made it down to this sort of size), but it does boast the same exceptional feature set as well as the best overall picture quality available at this size. It's cheaper than its rivals, too. The Crystal Clear mode also benefits from gentle downward nudges of its default colour and sharpness settings, while the HDR Personal mode can be made a little more exciting by increasing its brightness and colour intensity a little. In fact, when push comes to shove all of the OLED807’s presets benefit from a degree of tweaking if you can face it; more so than with the presets of other brands.
