At times whilst reading this I was thinking about Sonia Overall’s book Eden that I read very recently. In that book one of the storylines involves a fictional character created by Ernest Hemingway who begins to act independently. And in this book our narrator’s fictional identity starts to act independently. And Collins Braithwaite wasn’t born Collins Braithwaite but adapted his birth name to give himself cover or licence to be a different person.
