Her work is sold in numerous countries around the world, including Russia, the US, Poland, Germany, Malaysia, and Australia. Shari has also written as Shari King, Ronni Cooper, and Millie Conway. On March 18, 2000 she got her first ;publishing deal at 3 pm. At 4 pm, she learned she was pregnant. I don't believe either the cover art or the comments on the cover reflect the true nature of this book. To me they suggest a lighthearted read. One Day With You is anything but.

The story takes place over the course of one day and is broken into two hour intervals and told from various POV and is absolutely heartbreaking and painful and there are several triggers but it is well written and does have a happy ending.

What readers are saying…

One Day with You - two fateful goodbyes, two unexpected hellos, and 24 hours that change everything. Noah Clark and his wife Anya seem to be having marriage troubles. Noah isn’t sure if he should share his concerns with his best friend, Max, until he can sort out his emotions. Soon, he uncovers a secret that shatters his heart and emotions. Whose heart will be broken by nightfall? It started like any other day in the picturesque village of Weirbridge. Beginning Feb 9th, 2023 @ 8-10 am. One Day with You - two fateful goodbyes, two unexpected hellos, and 24 hours that change everything. (Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads.) The Story of Our Secrets” is a stand alone novel that was released in the year 2021. Colm O’Flynn was loved by his close circle of friends and family, but his death came much too soon for everybody to make peace with their own past.

The characters weren’t deep or layered. What you see is what you get. This actually helped the plot from being overcomplicated or intense. I prefer books with contained emotions, so this worked for me. (The emotional quotient will vary for each reader).Although the book blurb goes into a bit more detail I don't think I can say more without becoming spoilery. Suffice it to say that Tress goes into labour unexpectedly and Nancy goes to her school reunion to meet her childhood sweetheart who she hasn't seen for fifty years. Even the local scumballs were terrified of the woman who once caught a thief trying to break into her house and threatened to puncture his kidneys with her knitting needles if she ever saw him again. He was relieved when the police took him into custody. This is one of the most emotional books I have read in a long time. I felt so terribly sad for the kindhearted Tress, who is about to give birth to her long awaited baby. And poor Noah, trying to stay strong for everyone but especially Tress while she is in labour and being an honest friend after the baby is born. I felt so much anger towards Max and Anya and their selfishness that destroyed lives. The Nancy storyline was fresh and funny. I was literally laughing out loud at her antics with Val. It was also nice to read about a late in life romance. I loved how this story has wonderfully fleshed out characters and how they acted like real people and the conclusion was very true to life as well. If you enjoy books that evoke many emotions, have lots of drama, and a bit of romance this is the book for you. All. The. Stars.

She still spends her nights and days writing in a very professional and mature manner. Which roughly translates to ‘type, panic, eat a biscuit, type and panic, eat another biscuit, type and panic’, then repeat for ninety thousand words. Overall, I would say that "One Day With You" has potential, but for me personally it fell short. It's definitely an engaging read with some sweet moments, but I couldn't help feeling that it could have been better. I did get the emotional aspect of the book, the realism as well, but the stupid decisions I did not, and some of the ignorance the characters held about the people they knew. This was an entirely, depressing, complex and sadly true novel, for people who know someone or have experienced the tragedies, highs and lows in their life, as such the characters do in this novel. I do not read a lot of women's fiction, and ONE DAY WITH YOU was my first book by the author, and I look forward to reading more— for fans of US authors Katherine Center, Debbie Macomber, and Elizabeth Berg.
