The brand's head winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire, says the new gin is infused with the characteristics of pinot noir, including juniper, coriander, dried red berries, rose buds, citrus fruits, rosehip, angelica and grains of paradise. "The result is an aromatic pink gin with delicate aromas of red berries which perfectly balance the juniper led palate and refreshing citrus finish," he adds. Can’t resist a little retro Riviera style? Portofino Dry Gin’s contents don’t let its bottle down, blending aromatic juniper with notes of lemon, lavender, sage and hints of floral iris and rose. Serve with lemon peel, a sprig of lavender and pretend you’re sipping it in the South of France. Refined, clean and simple, The Botanist’s classic bottle design elevates any stylishly-arranged home bar. Inspired by the botanical heritage of the Isle of Islay, each bottle is made with hand-foraged berries, barks, seeds and peels, and distilled slowly to enhance its unique flavour. Freshness and vibrancy are key features which I look for in wines and English fruit really delivers on this, whether it be unique aromatic white wines, classic fizz, or a twist on a rich Chablis-esque Chardonnay. Balance is at the heart of every good wine and my aim, in the vineyard and the winery, is to strive for perfect balance.” The latest spirit from Chapel Down is the on-trend Pinot Noir Gin, a light blush coloured gin that has arrived just in time for spring.

Chapel Down - Award Winning English Gin

This is once again derived from English wine grape skins, this time from Pinot Noir, which is then blended with a neutral grain spirit. The flavour profile is a fusion of bright citrus and soft, ripe summer berries with the classic notes of juniper and floral aromatics. Since it launched over a decade ago, No. 3 Gin has won a whole host of awards for its great taste – but equally commendable is the beautiful bottle design. The sleek bottle has a hexagonal shape, with each side representing one of the gin’s six main ingredients, and showcases the brand’s signature key symbol – a nod to Berry Bros. & Rudd’s home on St. James Street. If you’re buying the gin as a present, jazz things up with the vibrant gift box. The Chapel Down winery is located in the beautiful town of Tenterden, situated in the heart of the Kent countryside. Chapel Down Pinot Noir Gin Review | Great British Wine

Chardonnay:This varietal is grown largely for sparkling wines, for which demand drives continuous new plantings. Our main Chardonnay vineyard is Kit's Coty on the North Downs of Kent which produces fruit with excellent acidity, minerality and generous texture. A fine example of an English sparkling wine, primarily made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes grown in vineyards across the South East. The LIVE virtual tastings are carried out in the last week of the month. Please keep an eye on our socials for confirmed dates! Marbling has had an interiors moment this year – something not lost on Isle of Barra, who have enfolded their gin in marbled maritime blues and seafoam-green, evoking the distillery’s coastal island setting. Wild carrageen seaweed is the star ingredient of this crisp gin, which is distilled, bottled and labelled all on the Isle of Barra. Transport yourself to the sunkissed grasslands of the Cotswolds with the Cotswold Distillery’s Wildflower blend of gentian, lemon balm, elderflower and chamomile. The beautifully illustrated design is sure to win to some points with your guests, too.

Inside, the vibrant blend bursts with flavours of kumquat, pomelo, Persian lime and mandarin. Chapel Down goes incognito as ‘Chapelle en Bas’: Blind tasting reveals 60% of French drinkers prefer English sparkling wine to their native Champagne.
