You're sitting there quite calmly, which suggests some kind of training, maybe some kind of familiarity with upsetting or dangerous situations.

That night, Reacher sneaks out of his cabin and into an abandoned mine, where he finds trucks carrying missiles. While this is certainly due to his life in the military and his extensive training, was that background so different from Caine’s exhaustive and isolated training as a Shaolin monk? It is a brilliant and intense mystery/thriller story with tons of action and several heart-stopping moments. The room was following an unconventional design, specified by a thorough man after a great deal of careful thought. And that's another thing, there were way too many characters who shared the same amount of space and focus, so much so that Jack Reacher himself had almost gotten reduced to a supporting character in his own series!

He'd sat, hot and rocking and bouncing in the dark with the wheel well between him and Holly Johnson, ticking off the distance against a map inside his head. It was completely enjoyable and I really liked listening and plan to do quite a few more from this series. Secondly the details of the armaments of the American military and how easy it seemed for none military people to obtain them. Reacher stops to help a young woman with her dry cleaning while she’s limping along with a crutch when he’s caught up in her kidnapping by a trio of not-very-nice fellas with a van.

My problem with it is that I finished it and realized that when you finally get the big reveal at the end and figure out what's happening, and why, I went back and asked myself why the bad guys would have done what they did at the start of the novel to get the story rolling. Raised in a military family and serving for several years himself, he has a soldier’s instincts and bearing. The Story: Jack notices Holly struggling to carry her laundry and walk with her crutch after leaving the laundromat, so he offers to carry the laundry when both of them are taken hostage at gunpoint and transported in a van to a destination. While in Chicago, Jack Reacher is helping a young woman with an injured leg with her dry cleaning when they're captured at gunpoint by three men and thrown into a car, then transferred into a van and driven cross country. Killing Floor was an immediate success and launched the series which has grown in sales and impact with every new installment. In the US he drives a supercharged Jaguar, which was built in Jaguar's Browns Lane plant, thirty yards from the hospital in which he was born. Oop's , sorry, it's not him, it's a rather attractive, lethally capable hot shot FBI agent with a limp and high ranking connections which make her a great hostage.

The dynamic second thriller from the number one bestselling author of KILLING FLOOR 'Cunning, explosive . The leader was twisted around in the front seat with his gun hand resting against the thick leather headrest. I enjoyed this a little less than book one ( Killing Floor) in terms of plot, but that's mostly due to the fact that the whole dangerous militia group thing annoys the shit out of me as a rule. Reacher figured the rush of air over the outside of the truck's body must be cooling it to an extent, but nowhere near enough. During his tenure his company made Brideshead Revisited, The Jewel in the Crown, Prime Suspect, and Cracker.Meanwhile, Reacher, after witnessing Borken execute Loder, the leader of the kidnappers, for multiple failures, is shown around the camp with the intent of sending him back to the States with information on the militia's credibility. However, she ends up owing him when, during another stay, one of the kidnappers, Peter Bell, tries to rape her. Lee spends his spare time reading, listening to music, and watching the Yankees, Aston Villa, or Marseilles soccer. As good as the premise is after a couple of deductions from Reacher about his fellow "victim," the most exciting thing in these pages was Reachers mental maths to keep his mind active. And maybe some kind of sure knowledge there'll be a bunch of people looking to get you back soon as they can.
