Description

If you’re considering using an Interlabial Pad, you might also be thinking about reusable cloth pantyliners. Which one is right for you? Do we recommend one over the other? If you have a very heavy period, you’ll probably want all the protection you can get! You’ll probably want a high-capacity menstrual cup, overnight cloth menstrual pad, and then you can get an extra layer in there with an interlabial pad. A great tip is to just rinse your pad off in the shower. Once you’ve completely rinsed it, you can store it in your menstrual bag. If you don’t have time to get in the shower, use cold water in the sink to rinse it out. When your period is over, wash all of your pads in the washing machine. Fabrics play a huge factor in determining if a pad is going to be able to handle a super heavy flow. There are seven different fabrics that influence just how well a reusable cloth pad works. Waterproof or PUL

The fabrics that we use on the inside can hold up to the maximum capacity of what is needed. They can also hold the minimum amount so there’s no reason to continue adding layers and make it feel like you’re wearing a diaper. Our pads are trim, comfortable, and can hold the maximum absorbency, all with just one layer! Reusable Cloth Pads for Heavy Menstural Flow From My Shop Interlabial Reusable Cloth Pads If you’re looking for an additional form of period protection, then consider using them While not popular, they do have some devoted fans of them. In particular, the following people may want to consider them: Bamboo can soak up a lot of fluid especially if you use the super heavy kind. It’s also a natural fiber and soft to the touch. Diapers use bamboo as their hidden layer and in their soaker system because as bamboo is prepped and washed over time, its absorption improves. Like bamboo, hemp is a natural fabric and absorbs really well. Zorb Reusable cloth menstrual pads are not a new concept; they're actually an old one. What was once thought of as primitive and inconvenient over the past century (the "disposable" era) is now getting new scrutiny, the benefits of which are becoming more and more apparent worldwide.

Recommendations

We love that intralabial petals are more of an internal item. This can feel more comfortable for some people, especially those who are pretty active. Zorb is an Ameican-made fabric that is completely free of chemicals such as phthalates, pfoas, pfos, lead, dioxins, heavy metals, and it’s hypoallergenic. It’s a super innovative fabric designed to capture and evenly distribute fluid. It is a blend of cotton, bamboo, and tencel interspered in polyester nylon.

Using a straight stitch, sew a pattern through all layers of the pad. Here I did an X with 2 horizontal lines, but you can do any pattern you like or simply a line or two, the point is just to anchor the pieces together in a place besides the edge. With reusables, your skin is touching safe fabrics that can help tremendously with cramping and reducing your super heavy flow. How Do I Wash a Reusable Cloth Pad Full of Blood? This is like a mixture between your regular pads and tampons with the difference that you don’t have to insert them into your vaginal tract nor you wear externally. What I liked about these is that they seem to be the best option if, like me, you have a heavy flow since the idea is that it soaks the fluid and directs the leaking to the middle of the pad. Yes, I know what you might be thinking and that’s actually something I wasn’t that convinced about. So, this isn’t a replacement of regular pads, but it can help us feel way much more comfortable since it doesn’t go all over the pad and thus it won’t make you feel wet and uncomfortable. Any reusable tampon will be without an applicator. You may also have days during your period when your flow is light and you don’t need a pad, cup or tampon. On these days, you can wear your period panties because they have a waterproof lining that leaves you completely protected!
