Amongst the vast collection of a well known vehicle and paint expert in Pennsylvania, the original 1950 paint chip has finally seen the light of day. It is a very brown shade of OD that was replaced with the greener shade of OD in 1956 by 24087. This is the standard color all vehicles left the factory with from late 1950 through 1956. This color is available in enamel, both gallons and spray paint. So if you want your Korean War Dodge M37 or M38A1 painted with an accurate color, you finally have a source that can meet your needs.

This spray paint can be used on top of almost all types of paint. As with all paints you should test first. Additional paint research

Be careful with US Olive Drabs. The 1943 JAC decided to adopt another Olive Drab for ongoing use on vehicles which is lighter than the No.9. This is designated class 204/#319. From what I can gather this only became more general use on late built M4A4E8 Shermans, M18 Hellcat and M26 Pershing. Humbrol 155 is too dark and brown for US vehicles. My best mixes for No.9 are 2 x H116 + 2 x H155 and 4 x H225 + 1 x H33. There is of course a slight differences between these colours. That is not important since 100,000 gallons from multiple companies were produced and as long as the final colour was within acceptable limits colourwise colour precision was not a problem. We only use Axholme Signsin the UK which offer bespoke stencils on a next day service, and they have never let us down. They also have great tips on the best application. I have almost 200 WWII metal ammo cans. The overwhelming majority of these cans have been repainted at least once during their service. This is evidenced by the contrast between the darker post war lustreless olive drab found on the outside, and the lighter semi-gloss olive drab shade found on the majority of the insides.

Olive Drab Matt LRC213 Coach Enamel paint has been used by the Army and Royal Air Force for many years on vehicles and ground equipment from the late 1960’s through to the late 1970’s. It is the earlier full matt green Paint that would have been used on the Series and early Defenders and of course other military hardware camouflage schemes during this time. Type of Paint Synthetic spray paints: If you are painting onto something which has been previously painted in a Synthetic product please choose the Synthetic paint option for maximum compatibility. So if there is any doubt as to which shade you should use on your vehicle, it is solely based on your personal preference. “Which shade is correct for my WWII _________?” You now have NO reason or excuse to continue painting your WWII era vehicles in shades of Olive Drab that “are close enough”.We know we are not the cheapest on the market, however the superb quality of our products is second to none.

This is highest quality 400ml Aerosol Spray Paint in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey available to be delivered in 24 to 48 hours for express delivery and between 3 to 5 days on standard delivery. We know that "The best form of advertising is the personal recommendation of a satisfied customer". RAL7013 is a very very greyish drab and the former base colour of th Austrian Army, going to brownish in sunlight. 0.7 dE is an extremely small difference... One should simply use RAL7013 if this were true for OD319 and ANA613! We apply several coats, letting dry between them about 24 hours and sanding between them, to remove any remaining impurities. For a standard respray of a jeep which is already green, 6 will do. But for a brand new restoration, taking into consideration all the small separate parts away from view, and the underneath could take up to 8 to 10. Always over-buy. Keep leftover tins for scruffs and scrapes.paints: If you require an even more durable finish then select the 2K option, 2k Paints are chemically hardened, they are activated by releasing a valve at the base of the aerosol, once the can is activated you have a twelve hour period for use. Using the latest in computerised mixing systems we can ensure a close match and we use only the highest quality paint to ensure a flawless and durable finish. The images that follow show a freshly painted M18 Hellcat using TM9 Lustreless Olive Drab Shade #8 and a newly installed NOS taillight. Using the correct shade of Olive Drab can save you time and money when installing NOS parts. So what's the current wisdom? The most tempting ideas I've seen so far are (enamel) a 50:50 mix of FS34087 and FS30118 (both of which I think I have in Xtracolor) and (acrylic) Vallejo Luftwaffe Brown Violet (which I certainly don't have). All our paints are mix of RAL Aerosols in a choice of either Polyurethane Synthetic , Cellulose, QAD Enamel or 2K Air Dry.
