Description

This world's famous and best-selling cognac brand is distilled by Jas Hennessy & Co., simply known as Hennessy, located in Cognac, France. It was established in 1765 by Irish military officer, Richard Hennessy. It is the largest producer of cognac in the world and is usually considered the cognac pinnacle. The company's name Jas Hennessy & Co. was given by Richard Hennessy's son James Hennessy in 1813. In 1971 the Hennessy Company merged with Moet & Chandon to create Moet Hennessy. It later, in 1987, joined forces with Louis Vuitton to form the Louis Vuitton • Moet-Hennessy (L.V.M.H.) company, one of the world's largest luxury brands company. In 1992, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first shipment of Cognac to Asia, Hennessy chartered an old-fashioned sailing ship and called it “Spirit of Hennessy”. The aristocratic family of Hennessy is a fascinating story of success. Other family members, who did not get involved in the Cognac business were successful in different fields such as the affairs of the state or other commercial enterprises. Hennessy Today For a select few, Hennessy transcends being a beverage; it’s a collectible. We will peer into the world of Hennessy collectors, where unique and rare bottles command premium prices. Discover the allure of owning a piece of history. Aside from that, perhaps the biggest factor for its expensive price comes from its expensive resources. On average, the cost of producing just a single liter of cognac is roughly 7 times higher than a liter of whiskey and 14 times higher than vodka. The Big Three

Hennessy is a luxurious spirit with a proud and exceptional heritage based on adventure, discovery, and cultivating the best quality grapes that nature and craftsmanship can offer. Visits take place from Nov 1 to Dec 31, from Monday to Friday (except on public holidays) and from April 1 to Oct 31, 7 days a week (except May 1). Closed from Jan 1 to March 31 (reservations possible from Monday to Friday from 10 to 12 am and from 2 to 4 pm). The French brand was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy. After his death, his son James continued the family business and turned it into a well-functioning Cognac house. It was actually him who created the brand Hennessy in the first place and called the company Jas Hennessy & Co.; the name it carries to date.Hennessy Paradis Imperial - lighter than most old cognacs, Hennessy Paradis Imperial has a smoky, spicy accent with floral and orange notes. Hennessy X.X.O - this Hennessy has rich and expressive aromatic notes like nutmeg, liquorice, peppermint, and other spices. Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 3 - this Hennessy has praline and toasted hazelnut notes that is surprisingly sweet for a cognac.

Created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of close friends, Hennessy X.O was the first “Extra Old” Cognac ever invented and established the category. In 1947, Gérald de Geoffre designed the first Hennessy X.O decanter, whose distinctive form is still familiar to us today. Its silhouette is a tribute to the pyramid-like forms of the grape bunches that give birth to the Cognac eaux-de-vie. Hennessy X.O's intense and deep amber color is a sign of its strength. Its flavors of candied fruit and its subtle and lightly spicy nose create a complete harmony: a mark of its power and roundness. To taste, a smooth, full sensation gives a simultaneously powerful and soft tonality with a hint of cocoa and a warm, fruity presence. The long finish expresses all the complexity of the cognac’s blending and its long ageing process. Hennessy is the most favorite drink of the mighty and high in society as it is considered a symbol of luxury, power, and passion. Its wide acceptability and demand depict quality and elegance. The brand has traveled far and wide just like Richard Hennessy would have wanted to witness. Hennessy XO is quite expensive due to the longer amount of aging time it has to undergo before it gets released into the market. Just like the other Hennessy cognacs, Hennessy XO also uses expensive resources and the use of quality barrels for aging, further adding to its overall costs. What is the Most Expensive Hennessy? For the love of smooth and rich refreshment, Hennessy comes as a famous drink, taking up almost half of the world cognac market. This cognac has earned a top place among the high and powerful class in Kenya.
