I don’t really emphasize how the pen tilt is so bad because it’s still a “side” feature which isn’t necessary to draw in digital. The tablet comes in a white box with a front view image of tablet with a pretty drawing displayed on it. In the very first driver, the calibrate function was broken and was unable to cope with multi-screen setups. What I like about the package is that it includes a few extra stuff, like the stand and drawing glove, compared to some other tablets.

Sorry I can’t give you a black and white “this one is better” answer, but hopefully some of what I said will help in making your decision. XP-PEN graphics tablets make your education journey much smoother and easier, and your education broadcasting more intuitive and attractive. Medibang Paint Pro (Win) works fine most of the time but there would be the occasional stray stroke. The other end of the case can also be detached and used as a pen stand if you don’t want to put the pen back in the case every time you’re done working. Honestly, the default settings are decent enough to be used as is, however, if you have a colorimeter, you will notice that the colours are slightly off from sRGB.

With the release of the Artist 12 Pro and Artist 13 Pro, the Artist Pro series now has all the common sizes ranging from 12-inch to 22-inch. However, making the cable L-shaped would have improved cable life (because people wouldn’t need to bend the cable out of the way like I did), and also would have made the cable much harder to break in general (because you wouldn’t be able to accidentally snag it on things). It has a rubber grip with a plastic top, and has a nice shape with a bulge near the bottom to allow for an easy and comfortable grip on the pen. The slow ruler line tests done with a no pen pressure pen were quite good at all angles, but you can clearly see some wobble when tilting the pen completely over.

Between the XP-Pen Star 03 V2 and Huion H610Pro V2, I think they are relatively even in their build quality, however, they are slightly different in a few places. Even Wacom’s factory calibrated tablet monitors are no exception to this and their colours will drift over time because colour drift is an unavoidable aspect of monitors as they age. Please note, as you can see from my review drawing, I was most certainly able to draw with this amount of inaccuracy, but like I mention in my review, it was difficult doing smaller details because the cursor was not following the pen pixel-by-pixel. Resolution is an essential indicator of a screen's image quality, representing the maximum amount of pixels that can be shown on the screen.

With regards to the difference between the XP-Pen Artist 12 and Artist 12 Pro, I suggest that you don’t consider the Artist 12, especially if the Artist 12 Pro is cheaper.

I praised the choice of a USB type-C cable on the Huion Kamvas Pro 13, but the way it was implemented on the XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro really throws away the advantage that using USB type-C offers in the first place. Pro review (March 15, 2019), so I think you should keep it in mind as a quirk of all XP-Pen products. I understand how you like Huion Kamvas lineup more than XP-Pen artist on your experience for nice quality, though I personally prefer dial not just for brush size, rotation and zoom, but also used for animation scrubber using , and . It was especially bothersome and more evident when I was drawing over my sketch to make the line art.

I felt like there was no need to review it if it was just going to stop getting driver updates and attention, and by that point, there were lots of other tablets which seemed just as good or better than the Ugee HK1560. This is one of XP-Pen’s Artist series display tablets and an upgraded model of the previous XP-Pen Artist 12. Ever since I bought my first Wacom alternative tablet, I've become interested in finding out what other alternative tablets are good, and trying to guide people to see that there's more than just Wacom on the market. If the installer doesn’t prompt you to restart your computer after it finishes, I wholeheartedly suggest restarting your computer anyways to allow Windows to properly update the files necessary for the driver to run smoothly.
