Addition of channels for iConnectAUDIO4+ routing configurations. Stream is revised to be only stereo channels for compatibility with streaming software. The possibilities offered by Network/RTP-MIDI are far too great to fit into just this one blog piece, however, if your interest is piqued, we suggest you take a read of our blogs: Ethernet MIDI for Live Musicians and MIDI over Ethernet. This USB MIDI Interface is a perfect tool for musicians who want to be able play their favorite songs on any instrument they have without having an extra computer. This interface comes with onboard presets, making it easy and fun. After doing this several times (and after having returned the first unit hoping the second would be better),I finally gave up.

Updated RTP discovery to connect to a specific configuration port for MioXM and MioXL firmware version 1.0.2. This requires an upgrade of all firmware to 1.0.2 for RTP discovery. The mioXL is a revolutionary new interface that will change the way you work. With its ability to streamline and expand your MIDI setup, it's no wonder why even musicians with large setups have been switching over from their old gear. They offer all users an easy-to use powerful device for faster creative processions both now as well into the future. If you receive a unit with early firmware (in my case my unit had version 1.0 firmware), it's possible that the latest Auracle (v1.83 when I was working this out) on Win10 will detect the unit and inform you that you need to update the firmware before setting things up. However, I could not get the firmware updater to work using Auracle 1.83.

The iConnectivity mioXL USB MIDI Interface is a powerful interface for any singer-songwriter or composer. It features deep configuration options through updated Auracle software, which makes it easy to use and streamline your workflow on the go.

Use your 22 network MIDI ports anyway you want. Connect each of the 22 RTP-MIDI sessions to any combination of physical or virtual I / O ports. Almost any combination is possible. For decades, the only way for musicians and producer of all levels to link their gear was through complicated wiring schemes. Now there's mioXL - a revolutionary new technology that makes it easier than ever before get huge amounts of MIDI equipment up and running with absolutely no trouble at all! The mioXL is the most advanced and versatile MIDI interface we've ever made. It has no peers in its class when it comes to power, connectivity or performance - so what are you waiting for? Read our review about the product to see if its worth it.PeteYeah, port renaming for Windows was the entire reason I got into the iConnectivity ecosphere in the first place. Sure would be nice if Microsoft might be able to make some inroads into the Windows MIDI subsystems for little details like native port renaming (wink wink, nudge nudge ) I have been noodling about with audio hardware & software for 30+ years. Reasonably familiar with midi routing, able to navigate most of my tools and toys without excessive reliance on manuals most of the time.

With mioXL™ you’re able to streamline and expand your MIDI setup, no matter how massive and demanding. Even though it’s our most powerful MIDI interface, mioXL™ is still accessible to all users, allowing you to do whatever you want with MIDI faster, better, and in creative and exciting new ways. I never had to think about anything. Patch any MIDI cables or anything. It just worked. Everything talked to everything and I didn't even have to think about it. My Mio was simply doing it's thing happily being ignored by me. On the second Photo, you'll notice that when I rename a DIN--that the DIN information is permanently lost. This is WHY I used masking tape to mark off my devices on the unit. Because once you plug in your gear, the unit itself only reports the DIN numbers on the front panel. When it works, it works; offers extraordinary routing options and opportunities. The hardware feels solidly built and touch-screen adjustment make the smallish display surprisingly versatile. There's a generous amount of physical input & output and my studio still has room to grow even with all the DIN & USB gadgets connected. It's not cheap but it certainly seems good value for money. Finally, I asked about the MioXM and learned that you can get up to 8 USB ports on that by using a 5 port hub. I asked because if I can't figure out the RTP routing between units, I would replace my Mio10 with a MioXM with the goal that I can sit at a keyboard at either side and it control a module on the other side or I can run a sequencer from one unit to the other, all without having to turn the computer on.
