Description
The one thing I really don’t get is why the call it magnetic because that’s not actually how it works. But anyway, Santhilea’s Magnetic Lash Mascara comes with two products; a mascara and a lash builder and has a simple 1-2-1 application process. First apply a coat of the Magnetic Mascara and then gently apply the lash builder, which contains lots of soft little fibers. The key is to apply the fibres evenly, concentrating on the ends. Now apply another coat of the Magnetic Mascara, smoothing and sealing the fibres using long brush strokes. Gently comb the mascara over the top rather than zig-zagging and ensure that each lash is thoroughly covered with Magnetic Mascara, to hold the fibres in place. And voila now you have long, fluttery lashes! You can repeat steps two and three as many times as you like, depending on just how long and va-va-voom you want your lashes to be. The size and the style you choose will depend on your unique eye shape and your preference. Magnetic lashes can come in a variety of different lengths ranging from short, medium, and long as well as styles like wispy, full, and dense. Certain styles or lengths can definitely accent specific eye shapes better than others. For example, a cat eye-styled lash or a longer lash can open hooded eyes up more while a shorter, wispy lash with a bit of a curl can be more accentuating for round eyes. It really comes down to personal preference, your lash goals, and what feels most comfortable for you, though. A kit with a variety of lash styles and lengths is the best way to go if you are not sure which style will work best for your eyes.
And I haven't even mentioned the other innovative thing about this mascara: the "wiper." Do you ever pull a mascara brush from its tube and think, "Holy shit, that's way too much," so you've got to wipe half of it off? For They're Real! Magnet Mascara, Benefit made the opening of its tube slightly smaller than necessary so that it scrapes away all the excess product from the brush as it's being pulled out. This set comes with everything you need for lash application, so it’s great for beginners who have long been fans of Russian-style infills or extensions and want to recreate a similar look at home.If you have larger eyes, consider yourself blessed—you’re spared from the annoyance of cutting and shaping faux lashes. These lashes from MoxieLash are on the larger side, so if you have long eyes, these are a great option to consider. Larger strips have the potential to be more irritating since they cover more area, but that’s not the case with these lashes. We liked how comfortable they felt once they adhered to the magnetic liner; we couldn’t feel the magnets at all, even when we blinked or moved our eyes around. Though they have a cat-eye shape, they don’t look too fake and provide a touch of glam perfect for a party or special event. Just keep in mind that once they attach to the liner, they’re super strong. If you need to readjust, you may have to use a little extra effort. The nifty magnetic mineral-enriched formula is what steals the show in this mascara. The innovative ingredient works with the magnetically charged brush core to lengthen lashes by 40% for 36 hours.
Those who prefer a more dramatic lash look should try these, although it can take a little time to get the right amount of eyeliner on. A mascara that lengthens and provides volume that isn’t clumpy; spidery-looking lashes give me the shudders! When I think about mascara, Benefit Cosmetics is one of the first brands to come to mind. As the #1 mascara brand in the U.S, it's safe to say they know how to create lash lengthening, curling, and volumizing products that people love. Anchoring their lash offerings is the They're Real! Mascara family. You're likely familiar with They're Real! Lengthening Mascara, which has garnered praise from makeup artists and Byrdie editors alike. But today, meet the newest mascara launch from Benefit Cosmetics: the They're Real! Magnet Mascara. AQUA (WATER), CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), PARAFFIN, POLYBUTENE, VP/EICOSENE COPOLYMER, GLYCERYL STEARATE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX, STEARETH-21, PALMITIC ACID, PVP, STEARIC ACID, SILICA, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, STEARETH-2, AMINOMETHYL PROPANEDIOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, PANTHENOL, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, POLYSORBATE 60. [+/-: CI 19140 (YELLOW 5, YELLOW 5 LAKE), CI 42090 (BLUE 1 LAKE), CI 77007 (ULTRAMARINES), CI 77163 (BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE), CI 77288 (CHROMIUM OXIDE GREENS), CI 77289 (CHROMIUM HYDROXIDE GREEN), CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77510 (FERRIC FERROCYANIDE, FERRIC AMMONIUM FERROCYANIDE), CI 77742 (MANGANESE VIOLET), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE)]. Absolutely. In fact, many experts have dubbed them safer and much less irritating than traditional falsies, as eyelash glue can damage natural lashes and is also rather unpleasant if it gets into your eyes. For some, a full strip can look too heavy, and smaller and/or round eyes will benefit from either individual lashes or some fluttery half lashes in the outer corners to widen and elongate. These ultra-lightweight natural fibre lashes do just that, delivering that extra bit of oomph to the outer corners. These lashes are much kinder to your natural lashes (and your wallet) than regular salon treatments, and, with proper care, you can get up to 30 wears out of them.
We tried a sample from the Classic collection (Queen Me), and despite being the most ‘subtle’ in the range, they still offer amazing density and drama – just as salon-style infills would. If you’re using a full strip lash, measure it from corner to corner and trim if necessary. Apply your liner and then, looking downwards into a magnifying mirror, gently press the lash onto your lid. Using an eyelash holder or pair of tweezers will make it less fiddly. Are magnetic lashes safe and hygienic?
Lashes look long and lifted; Benefit did an instrumental test on 21 women and the results were that lashes looked 40% longer! The proof is in the picture too, scroll to the team review section for my own before and after to see the effect for yourself.
A bit of patience is required during application since you’ll need to apply three coats of liner (allowing each coat to dry in between) to get them to stay put – but, that done, stay put they certainly do. While the brush's magnetic center is a standout feature (they're actually working to patent the technology in the EU and the U.S.), there are a few other design characteristics worth pointing out. The mascara's custom-engineered brush also boasts soft zig-zag bristles that allow it to comfortably glide through your lashes and lift them. The development team also spent time innovating the mascara's wiper. Customized to the brush, you're guaranteed to get the right amount of product on the brush every time you pull it out of the tube, without having to worry about mess, excess, or clumps. Tip: Swirl your brush instead of pumping it; this will limit the amount of air in the tube and improve the longevity of your product.
Badgal BANG! Waterproof Mascara
But, how do they work? Thanks to tiny magnets embedded in each strip, magnetic eyelashes adhere to your lids (with the help of a magnetic eyeliner), leaving them looking fuller, longer, and more dramatic. If used properly, magnetic lashes won’t cause damage to your natural lashes at all.
