Store them correctly:Keep them in a cool, dry place. If you’re storing them in the refrigerator, make sure they’re in a separate compartment. Preservatives in cosmetics are designed to combat a range of microorganisms, including bacteria, yeast, and mold. They work by creating an inhospitable environment for these microorganisms, preventing them from growing and multiplying. I have made several different makeup recipes over the years to limit chemical exposure, including recipes that I love, such as foundation, setting powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara.Mold is like that uninvited guest who shows up at a party when the conditions are just right. It needs three things to grow: food, moisture, and the right temperature range. Similar to shea butter, coconut oil also has amazing properties for the skin. It is very moisturizing and will hydrate dry, chapped lips. Finally, the temperature needs to be just right for mold to thrive in a home, and although it can still grow at cooler or warmer temperatures, an ambient temperature of between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit is the sweet point for it to begin to grow at a rapid pace. I’ve definitely only scratched the surface so far, but here are my learnings up to this point. The base you use really matters Not bumps without fuzz (that can be oil pressing out of the bullet and then drying on the outside).

Shea butter has amazing properties for the skin and can be especially good for chapped lips. It is very hydrating and sinks deep into the skin. Other waxes that will work include carnauba wax, candelilla wax, soy wax, or rice wax. The ratios of the ingredients may have to be adjusted slightly if you choose a different wax. Shea butter This was my first stab at using a base of my own, and I elected to use some cream blush from Make it Up as I already had a big batch of it in my fridge, so I could just dole some out and carry on. The base is about 30% beeswax, so it’s relatively firm, and the pigment percentage is about 4% pure pigment.
