In other words, I don't think of it as a "central" piece of impact equipment, it is very good for learning to pivot around and practice body movement with, but too much use, or wrong use could build weird habits. Moving on from visuals, when we start to look at the materials it’s clear again that Everlast have tried to put together a really nice product. The high-tension spring in the cobra bag allows you to practice your defensive footwork and head movement at rapid speeds, even without a partner.

Just inside the filling hole is a flat surface, which then flows off in multiple directions to the sides. It's heavy enough to stay put when kicks or punches are thrown at it, but light enough to not make it such a hassle to move it if needed. I find using the bag like this really challenges your accuracy, because the bag itself doesn’t always travel at a consistent speed.

If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware. Straight Flex (Unlock Base, Lock Neck) setting is ideal for punch techniques, agility, footwork, defense and timing. If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. If you were to measure and transfer it with jugs or similar, you’d be there for a ridiculous amount of time. Instead I’d suggest you use a garden hose or similar, but there’s then no way to measure the amount of water used.

In a sporting nation like Australia, an extensive selection of sports gear is essential to cover the needs of any athlete, amateur or pro. Not only are the materials a fairly high quality, but they’ve given the bag two springs at the top and bottom of the pole. So the first method of training with the Everlast Hyperflex is by locking the top spring so that only the bottom spring moves.Introducing the newest and most advanced reflex punching bag for boxing and combat sports, the Powerlock Cobra Bag. For a reflex bag that’s not cheap, however I really can’t say that you don’t get your money’s worth. The bag itself feels like a very durable/solid foam and actually surprised me a bit I was expecting it to be softer, but I suppose the firmer it is the longer it will last. That probably means it’s a bit too tall for kids, but anyone teenager or older should have no problem using it. The Powerlock Cobra Bag is so advanced and innovative that it provides incredible training and cardio benefits for fitness enthusiasts and professional fighters alike.

This added randomness does mean that I find this really satisfying for practising footwork and evasion.

It is perfect for practicing all types of punches, including jabs, power punches, hooks, uppercuts, and combinations, as well as slipping, weaving, and defensive drills. Using a cobra bag is a great way to quickly improve your hand-eye coordination and fight reflexes, such as speed, accuracy, rhythm, and timing. If you have a higher budget or were kitting out a gym, then I’d probably suggest you look into a Cobra bag. I thought I would get a cheap brand and they were just using the everlast picture but it is actually an everlast bag. The fact you have two pivot points, both moving at different speeds, makes the bag swing back up at you in a much more unpredictable way.

The cobra bag is an effective training tool for developing essential striking skills, such as hand-eye coordination and defensive maneuverability. That’s obviously just down to personal preference, and if you’re planning on a light training session based on punch timing and accuracy, then this it a great little training tool.Dual HYPERFLEX individual locking springs provides three workout settings for comprehensive punching, reflex and cardio workouts. Depending on your set up, the bag’s springs either feel like they move too fast or two slow, and personally I’d have loved to see a mid-point. The second method of training with the Everlast Hyperflex is by locking the bottom spring so that only the top spring moves. Thanks Iain, it took a while to figure out how to use it, but now I feel it's a valuable piece of equipment. The pole is then half silver and half black, which again has ‘Hyperflex written down it in white and yellow.
