It just doesn't come close to the output of strong shot spam because Bow in Rise is completely broken. Dragonpiercer also does sever damage I think, although I honestly wouldn't know as I've only used a bow back in High Rank and Dragonpiercer was kinda awful. A blunt blade will still have sharp points, but the sides of the blade will be worn to a mirror finish.Pretty sure I severed some tails doing the dodge mount attack anyway, but it's been so long I can't remember. I have had this problem too, what has seemed to work for me is putting downward pressure on the board. Also, like Adrian said, your then turning yourself side on which increases you chance of getting pinned, (that might just be me though!
