The Armoury of Ruin comprises the weapons and equipment available only to the IVth Legion. Graviton Crushers So, to begin my analysis, I thought that it would be best to find the closest analogues to the Bolter that already currently exist. This is not quite as simple as it sounds, because while the Bolter does indeed have much in common with several different weapons systems, it really is its own unique weapon. It has no one true analogue. After some casual research, I found several weapons that each have several important characteristics in common with a Bolter. They were originally developed to be fired as single specialised rounds by a Heavy Bolter with an area of effect, but have also been downsized for standard calibre bolters, where they function as direct-impact penetrators instead.
After the recent buffs, the HAGs could move up to D Tier. They are usable now but there's still not much reason to take them over another longgun. It becomes a lot better with certain feats. The 75% toughness damage resistance whilst in volley fire in particular allows you to break cover and start blasting people. It's surprisngly decent at medium range, once you realise that the spread is actually a lot tighter than the crosshair implies. Try to put the enemy in the exact centre of the crosshair, and don't assume just because they are inside the big square that you'll kill them. Infernus Heavy Bolter - An Infernus Heavy Bolter is a specialty weapon developed for use by the alien-hunting Deathwatch Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. Standard Heavy Bolters fire huge, mass-reactive bolts, each more comparable to an explosive shell than a bullet. The Deathwatch mag-clamps rare anti-gravitic suspensor discs onto their Infernus Heavy Bolters that reduce the weapon's effective weight considerably. Such weapons are further bolstered by underslung Heavy Flamers that can incinerate those enemies that make it through the hail of explosive bolts. Land Raider Spartan – hull-mounted shrapnel cannon, pintle-mounted multi-melta, hunter-killer missile, flare shield (442pts) After nine years of marriage, Linda leaves Tony for Christian Talbot, an ardent Communist. Christian is kind but vague, and ultimately uninterested in individuals, preferring to focus on the plight of the working class. Linda's divorce and remarriage cause a rift between her and her parents, but after some months they reconcile. Linda and Christian go to France to work with Spanish refugees in Perpignan during the Spanish Civil War, where they meet Linda's old friend Lavender Davis, an efficient young woman also volunteering to help the refugees. Linda realises that Christian and Lavender are falling in love with one another and that they would be a better pairing. Linda decides to leave Christian and leave France.
Scorpius Bolts were rare and temperamental munitions which were hand loaded into a Bolter for firing. These weapons can still do work even on the higher difficulties, they are just maybe a little outclassed by The Best. The standard bolt is set to .75 calibre, whereas Heavy Bolter rounds are larger, at 1.00 calibre. An even larger calibre is used in the Mauler Pattern Bolt Cannon of Castellax Battle-Automata. Idina was unmarried, at first; her mother, Muriel de la Warre, was divorced. In this socially perilous situation, it's hardly surprising that, as Osborne writes, in her rather breathless prose: 'Idina threw herself into the rounds of bals blancs with abandon. Nobody forgot a dance with her.' Soon, she had landed a fiancé, a dashing cavalry officer named David Euan Wallace, an heir to one of Scotland's richest families and a close friend of Stewart Menzies, the fabled British intelligence chief, and model for 'C'. Colmunus and Graia IAG should be in C Tier. The Agripinaa should in B Tier (basically swapping them around). People commented on this and after more testing I think they were right. Agripinaa does hold up a lot better.
You can make these weapons work, but you're making the game harder by taking them. Still good enough for difficulty 3 but you might really notice them falling off in 4 and 5. Iron sight recoil is bugged somehow, it occasionally twitches to a different position as you pull the trigger, which can throw off your aim (I've seen this on all weapons, but it's only super noticable on the Bolter). Even without the bugs, the recoil is high enough that your effective long range DPS isn't actually anything special. Mauler Pattern Bolt Cannon - The ancient Mechanicum of the Horus Heresy era utilised a variety of Bolter weaponry which, while operating on similar principles to the standardised weapons of the Legiones Astartes, were often more sophisticated and difficult to maintain. Such weapons include the Mauler Pattern Bolt Cannon, a fearsomely-baroque and bulky automatic Bolter weapon using substantially larger and denser shells than a standard Heavy Bolter. The Mauler Pattern was a field-support weapon found within the Mechanicum's Skitarii Tech-Guard formations during the Horus Heresy era and mounted on certain Battle-Automata of the Legio Cybernetica. these baroque and bulky automatic cannons differ from the more common Heavy Bolter only in calibre, with the Mauler using substantially larger and denser shells, with a proportionally larger and stronger gun-frame needed to handle the firing stresses involved. These are powerful weapons whose secrets were jealously guarded by the ancient Mechanicum -- and by the Adeptus Mechanicus of the 41st Millennium.
Such bolts are highly effective against targets like combat robots and cyborgs whose bodies are now more machine than organic tissue. The short Lasgun that has blue camo by default. Shoots the fastest in exchange for having the least damage per shot of the Infantry Lasguns. The advantages of this gun are the bigger ammo pool (uses 2 ammo per shot instead of 3) and the faster speed whilst ADS. Not terrible, it's just that the slight mobility buff doesn't usually come in handy that often as a Veteran, especially when you can just whip out a melee weapon, and ammo isn't usually a problem on the bigger Lasguns anyway. For decades the IVth Legion was the mainstay of the Imperial forces, neither the most prestigious nor most impressive, but an absolutely unrelenting force of compliance that enacted the will of the Emperor. These marines saw themselves as soldiers before all else, and instead of brazen assaults or vainglorious defenses they perfected a highly regimented, extremely reliable form of war. When they were reunited with their Primarch this dogged professionalism was honed into a grim brutality, at the cost of a decimation of 1/10 of their Legion. Though they threw their lot in with the Warmaster, the IVth did not see themselves as servants of Chaos; they were not heretics and monsters like many of their brothers. Instead they fought in the same implacable way they always had, all the way to the Siege of Terra that Perturabo commanded until close to the very end. The narrator is Fanny, whose mother (called the "Bolter" for her habit of serial monogamy) and father have left her to be brought up by her aunt Emily and the valetudinarian Davey, whom Emily marries early in the novel. Fanny also spends holidays with her uncle, Matthew Radlett, her aunt, Sadie and numerous cousins at Alconleigh. Linda, the second Radlett daughter, is Fanny's best friend and the main character of the novel. The early chapters recount the Radlett children's bizarre upbringing, including their contrasting obsessions with hunting and preventing cruelty to animals, and the activities of their secret society, the "Hons". The Radlett daughters receive little in the way of formal education, and as Linda grows older she is increasingly consumed by a desire for romantic love and marriage.
