The guys reunited at the suggestion of Frontiers' President, Serafino Perugino, who really wanted the guys to offer the fans some new music. The resulting album is an extremely exciting selection of songs which is going to please not only the D2 fans, but also ALL the fans out there who are into the classic sound from bands like Bon Jovi (think “New Jersey” on steroids). hours ago Finnish Industrial-flavored metal band Kaos Krew releases their sixth album in December – final single out now! So what do you get? – well first let’s set the record straight and say it’s essentially more of the same – but this time round maybe even bigger and better – with bigger choruses, bigger hooks and even mightier guitars and vocals.

The Defiants have announced their return with a new album, their third overall, 'Drive' on June 9, 2023 via Frontiers Music Srl. Paul Robert Laine is a Canadian musician. He began his professional career as a solo artist, then was the singer of Danger Danger out of New York for eleven years, then fronted his own band, Shugaazer. Laine now has a band called "Darkhorse," whose album Let It Ride was released on April 29, 2014. He also teamed up with his former Danger Danger bandmates Bruno Ravel and Rob Marcello to form "The Defiants, [1]" who released their debut self-titled album on April 15, 2016. [2] Now, after another four year wait between albums, The Defiants return with “Drive”, perhaps their greatest musical achievement…so far. Paul has teamed up with Lee Revill with the new band, Jet Set Junkies. [3] Discography [ edit ] Solo albums [ edit ] Indeed ‘Defiants III’ or as the band call it ‘Drive’ is a pretty special record, maybe even the best they have landed yet and yet again the ex D2 members are firing on all cylinders with Paul Laine sounding wonderful as ever.Paul Laine says: "From the moment Bruno and I started writing together, we knew we had something special. It's been my experience that when the writing process is effortless, you've trapped lightning in a bottle... Within the first two and a half months, we had close to forty ideas up on the board. I think it surprised both of us how intuitive we were of each other's ideas. Now, after another four year wait between albums, THE DEFIANTS return with 'Drive', perhaps their greatest musical achievement...so far. The guys reunited at the suggestion of Frontiers' President & Head of A&R, Serafino Perugino, who really wanted these current and former Danger Danger members to offer fans of that band some new music. The resulting album was pleasing not only to the D2 fans, but also to ALL the fans out there who are into the classic sound of the era from which D2 emerged. Standing on the Edge’ bursts into life and keeps the party going with plenty of guitar and vocal swagger before ‘Hollywood In Headlights’ puts you completely at ease that this is going to be a killer album. The sweep to the chorus is wonderful as Laine sings of the one who got away.

days ago The Sleeping Souls (Frank Turner’s Band) Release Debut Album, “Just Before The World Starts Burning Post-covid and with so much negativity around the world, are The Defiants on a mission to make people smile again? days ago Dan Patlansky Announces New Album ‘Movin’ On’, New Single ‘Who I Am’ And April 2024 UK Headline Tour With respect to the upcoming new album from The Defiants, Laine indicated: “It’s gonna be out in 2022! We are currently hard at work on it as we speak… Every Defiants record we make, we really try to top the last one. Hopefully we can get close to the mark with Defiants 3!” Fallin’ For You’ then sweeps you completely off your feet with a trademark D2 riff then whilst you’re still savoring that one, ‘Hold On Tonite’ takes it down a notch and delivers the sugary sweet demi-ballad you’ve been waiting for.Miracle’ is an absolutely gorgeous slice of mid-paced AOR balladry. Gentle, delicate keyboards drive the verses, with Laine’s voice taking on a wonderfully soft croon as he gently breathes the gossamer thread melodies of the verses before another of those colossally melodic choruses. The layers of chiming guitars are absolutely wonderful here, as Rob Marcello goes for the subtle approach for once – even his solo is beautifully restrained, full of aching melody and emotion. Ravel: There’s always hope, but, once again, it would have to be the right opportunity, and those are very hard to come by. Maybe that’ll change. I sure hope so. Now, after another four year wait between albums, The Defiants return with "Drive", perhaps their greatest musical achievement...so far. It was very hard to choose the material for this record, and it's exciting to know that there are still bullets left in the chamber that nobody has heard yet."
