The Boost midsole does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to shock absorption, and true to the claims, they provide a super comfortable ride that’s responsive, so my movement never felt hindered. I did have a couple of instances of toe jamming on hard stops, but the ends of the shoes weren't so hard that they caused excruciating pain. But for people with wider feet who fill out the shoes a bit more, I think they'll find the SoleCourt Boosts to feel faster than their weight would suggest. He explained, "Despite some fit issues early on, I moved forward wearing two pairs of socks to fill the shoe out, and then the SoleCourt Boosts more than redeemed themselves with their on-court performance. Jason generally felt satisfied with the stability of his pair, but he had an issue with his laces loosening during play.

For this review, I took the adidas SoleCourt Boost on a two-mile coast run to gain a feel for the shoes’ comfort and weight. That might sound hard to do, but some players have experienced this issue with their lower-end models like the adidas CourtJam Bounce. Options are available for a variety of surfaces, of course, and you can take your pick from adi’s superb midsole cushioning, whether that’s Bounce, Boost, or Lightstrike.I love the black colorway, and although they’re certainly not intended for daily wear, it’s one of the few tennis shoes that I think looks good on and off the court – especially when compared to some other models out there like the Asics Court FF 2, which feel out of place off the court. Certain aspects of the SoleCourt Boost's construction worked well for specific foot types, but not for others. I would definitely put them on the stickier side, but they're not grippy to the point of getting stuck. Although this isn't a Barricade update, the SoleCourt Boost borrows much of the tried-and-true formula of the Barricade to perform as well as players have come to expect from adidas.

The SoleCourt has the wide forefoot of the Ubersonic 3, but the traction, stability and durability of the Barricade.

Because there is no Boost material in the forefoot the shoes had a great heel-to-toe transition, which made them feel faster.

However, I was able to cinch the laces pretty tightly around my ankles, so my heels were not coming out of the shoes.

I'd say the ventilation is probably not the best, since my feet felt fairly warm after an hour of hitting. He said, "This shoe has very solid traction, but I was still able to slide, especially when moving laterally along the baseline.
