If not they won't sound great without the bass and your brain will be continually trying to compensate for this.

In addition to the standard model with its distinctive silver-coloured earpieces and grey ear pads, a Pro Black Edition is also available. The DT 880 Pro Black Edition is a great tool for checking mixes, with the addition of being styled in a chic “Dark Mode”.

Compared to the AKG Quincy Jones Q701, the DT880 has a more comfortable headband, is a little bit more durable feeling, has a faster decay of notes, and more sub bass.

And even around 10 kHz there is a minimal kick, which makes the Pro Black Edition shine a little more in the treble range. There is plenty of bass for me, it's controlled and tight and well defined, but it doesn't go to th extremely low powerful frequencies other can's manage. I've tried some Audio Technica and Sennheiser headphones and I'm happiest now with these headphones. You can use the 32Ω version with high-performance equipment; its sound is the same, and if you have a great headphone amplifier like the Benchmark DAC1 HDR, its performance won't be degraded by the lower impedance.MACBOOK AIR WITH ROLAND DUO CAPTURE DUO USB INTERFACE- This works better than the Fiio in terms of bass, overall volume ( officially it drives 47 Ohms) and presentation. It's a great balance of transparency and detail in the treble, with a more forward mid-range for added warmth.

The 32 Ω DT 880 is about 5-10dB more sensitive from a constant voltage (as are most amplifiers) than the 600 Ω version. Don't sweat it: get the 32 Ω version for an iPod or iPad, the 600 Ω version for use at home or studio, or the usual 250 Ω version if you want it to do everything. I do wear glasses and can experience pressure on the top of the ears sometimes, but this was never an issue with the DT 880. Bluesound Node 2i, Gungnir Multibit, Geek Pulse, Freya S, Emotiva A-150, Jot2, Vali2, og Fiio x5/e12, Fiio M11 Pro, Shanling M0, Triangle Borea Br03, Monitor Audio Bronze bx2, HD6xx, Sundara, Elex, Momentum on-ear, CAL!The pro's clamp harder than the premium line DT880's due to the intended use in studios where a lot of movement is expected, but i find the strong clamp to be reassuring. Detail - The DT880 has decent clarity, but does not approach the detail level of cans like the SRH940. As always don't compare these to anyone else's measurements, but other than that it's even more self-contained in that they're likely different from my other squiggles too, haha. For the more battered ones, it’s not uncommon to find the headband adjustment slider mechanism getting stuck in some positions and not fixating in other ones. HD600 indeed does comparatively lack soundstage width, but inturn has a very 3D and more circular and fuller soundstage.
