Description

On post-war Cybertron, the manufacture of Energon cubes was handled by corporations, such as Dynamic Energon Distillery. Even though Soundwave is technically just a communications officer in the Decepticon army, he might have some of the greatest Transformer toys of all time. While most Transformers' alternate modes turn them into tanks or racing cars, the best Soundwave toys actually transform him into a music player. The original MC-10 version had a cassette door that had "Cassette Man" emblazoned on it and featured a hinge that was internal to the robot's body. Soundwave® Wall is a lightweight sound absorber in the upper frequency range 500 Hz and above. These panels help reduce disturbing reflections of environmental noise such as voices, telephones etc. Moulded polyester fibre in offwhite. Soundwave is exclusive to Toys"R"Us stores. He was released earlier (with fellow Masterpiece Acid Storm) in limited numbers at San Diego Comic Con 2013. Coming with Soundblaster in the first wave of Legacy: Evolution Core Class toys, Buzzsaw is a redeco of the non-transforming version of Laserbeak. Buzzsaw can fit into Soundblaster's chest. Soundwave was in the audience of a tag battle pitting Optimus Prime and Bumblebee against Megatron and Starscream. Oddly enough, he cheered when it seemed that the Autobots were going to win the match... Last Bot Standing When Gnashteeth was betrayed by the D.E.D. administrator Double Punch, he and the programmer Scorponok hit upon the idea of taking surplus cubes manufactured by the plant and selling them on the side, starting their own criminal enterprise. After a vicious beating from rival "businessmech" Thunderhoof's goons, Gnashteeth had Scorponok overload the D.E.D.'s Iacon plant while they made off with a small hoard of cubes, which Gnashteeth used to buy off Thunderhoof's minions. Identity Politics

Transformers Masterpiece MP-22 Ultra Magnus Reissue

The naturally-occurring energon on prehistoric Earth appeared only in an unstable, highly-explosive raw crystalline form. However, after the Planet Buster baked Earth's surface, the crystals were all either incinerated or somehow "converted" into more stable cubes. These cubes no longer emitted the dangerous radiation which prompted the Beast Warriors to adopt their beast modes in the first place. They were significantly smaller than the cubes used by Transformers from before the Great Upgrade and colored blue. Transforming Soundwave is a joy and a pleasure. It's simple and fun with no real twists or difficult parts. In 2009, Laserbeak was included with yet another reissue of Soundwave as part of the Universe line, this time as a Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive that was prominently offered at San Diego Comic-Con 2009. Laserbeak still sports his more orangey-red paint job, and comes with his weapons and his own cassette case. All of his legs are articulated with the front ones being on ball joints. This makes him perhaps one of the most expressive cassettes with loads of personality and presence despite his size.

Care should be taken when transforming this figure, particularly around the jet thrusters, as both the arms connecting the thrusters to the main body and the winglets on top are prone to breakage. Both versions of G1 Megatron in the Transformers R.E.D. line include several interchangeable hands, one of which is permanently grasping an Energon cube. You can also open up a small set of panels in Soundwave's feet. What's the purpose of this compartment? You can post Frenzy and Rumble's guns in there if you want, although it's a real tight fit. Retaining exactly the same plastic colors as his WFC toy, Soundwave instead features an extensive metallic blue/violet paint scheme that covers a majority of his vehicle mode (as well as some robot parts, like his head, for example). The purple highlights on the Hasbro version are replaced with a bright pink, the metallic details on his chest are a milder shade of gold, and his chest insignia is in full color.

The Transformers (Commodore 64) Soundwave and Starscream were sent to investigate strange reports of space-time warps and UFOs on the planet Zel Samine, bringing a space bridge with them on their shuttle that they would use to transport Megatron to the plant once they had landed. Inexplicably, their ship wound up crashing, and when they attempted to use the space bridge, it malfunctioned, dumping Megatron some distance away. After reuniting with his leader, Soundwave deduced that powerful electromagnetic rays from Zel Samine's sun, Paradius, were responsible for scrambling the systems of the shuttle and the space bridge, and that the Decepticons themselves would be subject to similar catastrophic system disruption if they tried venturing off the planet without a ship. The Decepticons immediately set about raiding local energy sources for energon to repair their craft, starting with a wind power plant on Mount Jaad. Then, after successfully draining the Ranpas Geothermal Power Plant—in part thanks to Soundwave deploying Laserbeak to locate any Autobot guards around the facility—Megatron chose the Monogan Hydroelectric Power Station for their next target. Soundwave pointed out the h Soundwave was a Decepticon so horrible that even the other Decepticons hated him. During Megatron's latest scheme to take over the planet Earth, Soundwave attempted to blast Windcharger with his deadly concussion blaster gun, only to be repelled by Windcharger's magnetic powers. Battle for Earth This item is currently scheduled for release, but is not yet available at mass retail. MPG-06 and MPG-06S Soundwave commands an ever-growing legion of cassette troops to carry out tasks big and small. Stored within his signature chest compartment and called forth on Soundwave's whim with a push of a button, these miniature menaces are most commonly employed as spies for either the Decepticon cause or Soundwave's personal objectives, but are just as effective as warriors, and are entirely devoted to their master. They are also not Soundwave's only diminutive partners: as an Action Master, he is partnered with Wingthing. This version of Buzzsaw, Spy was released as part of the general retail version of the Transformers Trading Card Game Blaster vs. Soundwave box set. Meanwhile, " Identity Politics" has a moment where Scorponok muses that a supply of fifty-four energon cubes would fuel him, an average sized Predacon, for anywhere between three orbital cycles (roughly a month in Uprising continuity) to a full stellar cycle (about a year), giving us a glimpse of the fuel economy for the Proto-races in that setting. Mechanimals were able to process energon without the need of cubes, and it was thinking of this, via the example of the humble ant-droid, that inspired Gnashteeth, now renamed Megatron, to implement the Beast Upgrade, freeing the Proto-races from the need for Energon cubes, and by extension the control of the Builders. Not All Megatrons Games War for Cybertron Soundwave accompanied Megatron to the Kalahari Desert, where they both overlooked their human slaves piling unimaginable amounts of coal into an underground cave. There, he complained about the desert sand getting into his cassette drives and fouling his transmissions, only to be berated by Megatron for his whining. Amidst Megatron's constant bullying, Soundwave assured his leader that their plan would soon come to fruition; the cave would be cocooned in a layer of lectonite, which upon exploding would convert the charcoal into a diamond of enormous proportions, ready to be used in the next phase of Megatron's plan.

Laserbeak has ended up the fan favorite of the cassettes by many, and with good reason. The transformation is simple and elegant, and you end up with a very good looking robotic bird who can flap his wings, move his legs, and even tilt his head in various ways. And on top of that he has his tiny little camera from the movie as well. An energon cube is also included so that you can have Soundwave shoot energon out of his chest like he did in the show. This also has a cutout originally, but I think it looks alright in clear too. The hook at the end of his beak is so that when he punctures you, you can't just yank him out. You'll rip off a wad of flesh. A redeco of the Energon Terrorcon Divebomb, Laserbeak transforms from a humanoid robot to a robotic bird of prey. He came with a pair of clear-blue blades that can combine to form a large energon weapon, plus a blue Decepticon-style energon chip. He was available only as a poly-bagged set with his mold-mate Buzzsaw, sold as an "at the show" souvenir set at BotCon 2006, limited to 500 pieces.

Soundwave was one of the Decepticons who traveled to Earth to bring its people peace... through tyranny! He lay in wait until it was the moment to strike, at which time he unleashed Laserbeak and Ravage from his chest compartment. I Am Optimus Prime
