The extra addition of clove powder along with pepper makes it slightly different from the other version I posted on Spice your Life. I referred to this for details and it said that this popular sev is added with chat food as well. Ratlami Sev is lightly seasoned and very easy to prepare, which means you don’t have to sacrifice taste for nutrition. This dish is low in calories and fat, but high in protein and fiber. It’s also gluten-free and a good option for those who are looking for a healthy meal that won’t go straight to your hips (or butt). You can make this dish without adding too much oil or butter, which means it won’t go straight to your waistline either! Rajasthani cuisine has a wide range of vegetarian and meat dishes. But if you are a vegetarian, then you’ll definitely find a great range of vegetarian dishes in Rajasthani Cuisine, because Rajasthan is one of the most vegetarian states in India. Records show that 70% of the people in Rajasthan are vegetarians. No skepticism that ‘ Dal Baati Churma‘ is the king of Rajasthani cuisine. However, this is not the only dish that should occupy your mind and body. In Rajasthani cuisine, there are a countless number of royal delicacies such as: Keep flipping the sev roundel every few seconds and fry till the sev becomes crispy. Pin Oil – You can use any vegetable oil to make this dish. You can even use mustard oil, olive oil, or even ghee to make this sev sabzi. Though I wanted to write so much about how this whole week went by, as this was the highlight of this entire Mega BM, I couldn’t spend time writing as we are traveling. So I had to schedule all the posts ahead. Even those who have little interest in Indian food will enjoy Ratlami Sev because it’s tasty and very easy to prepare. This dish is not only great for people of Indian descent, but anyone can enjoy it because the flavors are very basic. You can even introduce modifications if you want to make Ratlami Sev more or less spicy. It’s also a good option for vegetarians, but many vegans appreciate the fact that there’s no meat involved in this dish at all. Ratlami Sev is versatile… Whole spices such as clove, cinnamon, peppercorn, cumin and whole coriander seeds, carom seeds and star anise. On a low to medium flame fry the sev from both the side until golden in color.
