With a great team and a community that cares about sustainability, we're now focusing on more than just roasting great coffee.

Despite the fact that this type of product removes air, in practice, there isn’t much difference between this type of storage and folding up your coffee bag, smooshing the air out, and tying a rubber band around it. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, the Atmos features a vacuum-sealed canister that shields your coffee beans from air, moisture, and light. As our bags are nitrogen-flushed before sealing, their contents are kept fresh for up to 6 months from roasting and we’ve also taken small but important steps like a zip seal and opaque packaging to keep air and UV light out. I was told that you have to break the product down and clean every so often because dust gets in and clogs the vacuum seal (thereby rendering the product useless and your beans exposed to oxidation). To avoid any unnecessary damage to the canister, don't place it into a dishwasher, microwave or regular oven. The glass design is perfect if you enjoy the transparent look, plus it makes a perfect home decor for your kitchen. Thankfully, the Fellow Atmos features a simple twist mechanism that removes air and prevents oxidation, meaning that your coffee will be kept fresh for even longer. Protecting your fresh coffee beans from moisture and odours whilst delaying the staling and ageing in the process. Fill the canister, then twist the lid on to extract the air from inside and keep it in an upwards position at a place out of direct sunlight, in case you are using the clear glass canister.

The only thing I would criticize is the relatively charp edge on the main part of the canister where the lid fits on.Choose between clear glass or upgrade to matte black stainless steel for an extra layer of protection from flavor-sucking sunlight.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. When you open the container, simply press the button in the middle of the lid, and you’ll hear the soothing sound of air swooshing back into Atmos. The lid sucks the air out of the container to prevent oxidation and protects your coffee from moisture, odours and ageing. These devices rely on shrinking the area in the device, usually with a lid that you push into the container. Oxygen sucks the flavour and moisture out of your coffee beans, leaving you with a bland tasting coffee.

Since people are so accustomed to turning jar lids back and forth, vacuum sealing the Atmos lid with that same cranking motion would be second-nature for users. The matte black stainless steel Atmos jar has an extra layer of protection from flavor-sucking sunlight. However, once a bag of coffee is opened there is inevitably going to be an increase in exposure to oxygen which means it begins to stale and fade faster. After six weeks of testing, none of the espresso shots poured exceptional cremas, but vacuum canisters slightly outperformed the competition. Preserve the delicate nuances of your coffee beans and enjoy a consistently flavourful brew, every time.
