Christmas is fast approaching, so what could be better than a festive trip to delightful Middledip for another seasonal tale. Reading a Sue Moorcroft book is like wrapping yourself up in a warming cuddle, and this book is no exceptions. Well written, and very well researched, it's one of those that will have you reading far into the night for 'just one more chapter'. Winter Street sets the bait for the Winter series. I enjoyed the audio and as soon as I was done with it, I was purchasing the next book, Winter Stroll. I'm so happy all the books are out so I don't have to wait anytime in between discovering what will be the future of these characters. Sky was really ecologically sensitive, which, with a name like Sky Terran, is no surprise. I loved that her focus was in improving the landscape for both the villagers and the wildlife, and the way in which she made changes to her surroundings that would help. I think life would be much better if we all took a leaf out of her book. Winter Street is my first experience with an Elin Hilderbrand book. Other reviewers state this isn’t her best work. Though it does not provide as much depth as some other women’s fiction novels I have read, I still found it entertaining. Probably the features I liked best were the likeable characters, all the different family dynamics, and Ms. Hilderbrand’s humor that is laced throughout the story at just the right moments.

Kevin is living at the Inn. He's ex-wife Nora did a number on him. He lost trust in women but secretly he has been dating Isabelle, a French woman who works at the Inn too. He's going to be a father and he better get with the program before he loses his chance at happiness.

I loved reading about the restoration, let’s face it purchasing a gorgeous old house abd doing it up is a dream for a lot of people, or it is for me, so the only way I get close without winning the lottery is in books like this. I also love how the house is a haven, not only for Sky but for others too (again no spoilers) and becomes a central part of the community too.

I have finally read my first Elin Hilderbrand novel! And what a better way to start than with Winter Street, the first book of the Winter series. I've had this series on my shelf for a while and since it is December, I thought it would be the perfect time to get to them. Winter Street has a dash of romance, some holiday cheer, and a whole lot of family drama. It ended up being a lot more emotional than I had expected it to be, and this definitely goes above and beyond a Hallmark movie. This book is just magical and really fuels my desire to get outside in the snow, I know it’s not likely to happen any time soon but when it does I’ll be donning my wellies and keeping my eyes peeled for the snow stories like Sky. Nature plays a massive part of this book and it’s prompted me to refill my little bird feeder set up – I’ve also been rather tempted to make some shaped fat balls as they sound incredible, rather festive and pretty simple – even if very messy! They are well written and all have their own quirks and qualities that bring this story to life. For example, the youngest daughter, Ava, is dealing with the disappointment of her commitment-phobic boyfriend, Nathaniel Oscar — whom she lists in her cell phone as “NO.” He has abandoned her to spend the holidays with his wealthy family and recently divorced high-school girlfriend, rather than staying to propose to her on Christmas Eve as she had hoped. Kelley, his first wife, Margaret, and their three children are both surprised and not surprised by this turn of events. After all, this is the woman who “believes in holistic medicine and chakras and energy work and the healing power of crystals” and who went from roller disco to spending exorbitant amounts of money restoring an inn built in 1873. She is changeable and credulous and, as his oldest three children used to chant, “Mitzi is ditzy.” Ava is the only daughter. She's a music teacher whose love life is a mess. She's in love with Nathaniel but he's not as serious with their relationship as Ava wishes it to be. She wants more from him. Ava does have Scott in her life. She knows he's in love with her but she doesn't think about him that way but maybe she should.

A White Christmas on Winter Street is now one of my favourite holiday reads and one I will return to over the years. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys holiday reads. So, if you like a Christmas read with a strong storyline but still full of everything festive and fun, put on your Christmas pj’s and settle in for a cosy feel good festive read. The ending of Winter Street is not abrupt, but it leaves a few plotlines dangling. The entire book takes place over three days, and readers do not get to see every conflict completely resolved. But as each chapter cycles through narrators — giving everyone but Mitzi and Bart the chance to tell the story in his or her own way — readers get a sense of each character’s personality and perhaps can guess what might happen after the novel ends. You can’t get more festive than this latest offering from Moorcroft, with lashings of snow, Christmas lights and love. It’s the perfect feel-good fiction to get you in the mood for the big day!

And Sky is easily able to relate in a way to what Wilf is going through and it is so sweet to see him come out of his shell as the story progresses. She also cares about the environment and it was interesting to hear about solar powered Christmas lights, and fat cakes for birds in winter that can double as decorations. Style Notes: When it comes to compiling a report such as this, I insist on looking through the photography from each show afresh. Of course, some trends I've already earmarked, having witnessed them in real time during the shows themselves. Others, however, require a second look to discover, and one trend that practically jumped off the screen when I was doing so was butter yellow. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review. Maxi hemlines have been a key trend this season and one that we think will really resonate with the Browns customer," shares Gramston. "We've seen both new-gen and super-brand designers move away from micro lengths to a more refined evening look, pairing fitted maxi-length dresses and skirts with floor-sweeping, tailored outerwear. Alaïa's rich chocolate-brown interpretation, the sheer long dresses from Blumarine and Nensi Dojaka and Diesel's double-denim-skirt-and-long-coat combination were some of our favourite exaggerated silhouettes from the runway."apos;Hospital Survey: Sheffield and East Midlands area& apos;, Ministry of Health, 1945 (Sheffield Local Studies 362 SQ) A White Christmas on Winter Street by Sue Moorecroft is my last Christmas book of 2022 and it has tied my festive reading off perfectly.
