Latest 4m DIY Scaffold Tower/Towers
- Brand: Unbranded
Description
You can set the height of the platform within the tower in increments of 30cm (12 inches). This gives you significant customisation of the setup of the tower for the particular job you’re involved with. The maximum height you can set the platform to is 3m (almost 10 feet); this allows you to stand safely protected by the top guardrail. We also include a Buyer’s Guide to scaffold towers that details the features that you should look out for in your selection. Above all, we urge you to look for the safety features that these towers have, as well as the ones that are missing.
Everything you need to set up a solid scaffold is supplied, including horizontal and diagonal braces, stabiliser bars, and marine plywood footboards with a non-slip surface. The finished structure is able to handle loads of 150kg too, so you won’t have to skip your extra-large bacon sandwich for lunch. You will need something to stand on - We recommend our Trapdoor/Boards option for ease of accessing the platform and an extra set of platform boards to provide a platform to stand on when assembling the tower - a small extra price to pay for added safety!Lightweight aluminium allows easy construction, dismantling and transport. It also provides safety and stability for added reassurance. A lot of modern DIY scaffolds are made from high grade aluminium, and this material has its benefits. It is very lightweight, which makes assembly much less hard work, and it has fantastic anti-corrosion properties, so you know the product will withstand the elements well. Finally, as we talk about in our Buyer’s Guide, be aware of what the heights actually mean. The maximum platform height is 3m and the tower is 4m tall. The 5m refers to the reach if a 2m tall person is working on the tower. Always read the details from the manufacturer.
Manufactured from prime quality pre-galvanised mild steel, the superior finish provides excellent resistance to corrosion which keeps the product looking good and a pleasure to use for many years. The customisations available for the Top Tower Classic 6.3m enable you to use it in different places and on different terrains. Uneven floors, slopes and even roofs are not problem areas anymore on which to erect scaffolding and gain extra height. This scaffold tower is modular, so you don’t have to build it to its full height. You can use just the bottom section, for example, if you want to just reach up a few extra feet and need a stable platform to work from. Assembly instructions are just diagrams, no written instructions; some may find them a little difficult to follow. Domestic DIY Towers are wonderfully versatile and give greater safety than ladders for outdoor house maintenance, indoor painting (including stairwells), hedge trimming, tree pruning etc. With a handrail all around you, Classic Scaffold Towers offer a much safer alternative to ladders or steps and can be used with confidence for External & Internal Decorating, Gutter Cleaning and General Maintenance, and are extremely useful in the garden for hedge cutting and tree trimming.
Price & Product Dimensions
Have you ever wondered how to paint your two-storey ceiling when the extension on your paint pole isn’t long enough? Or how to reach the tallest branches of the tree you want to trim when there’s nowhere to prop a ladder? Welcome to the world of scaffold towers. Scaffold towers come into play when you don’t need (or can’t afford) fully-fledged scaffolding, when a ladder just can’t do the job or you want a tall stable platform. Or when you just find ladders too wobbly to go higher than the second rung. There are quite a few things that you need to consider before buying. Because you can't go to the market and grab a random one to find out that you wasted your money.
The highest point a person of average height can reach when standing on the platform at its highest point? The tower is always climbed internally – ‘Through The Trapdoor’(3T compliant) which is then lowered to form part of the platform. Platforms are out of different types of materials, and their integrity can differ. They have limits. So, make sure you don’t exceed the limit.
