What is "The Fappening"? In late August 2014, a huge stash of private celebrity nudes were leaked on to the web by a then unknown source. The event was dubbed #TheFappening, a play on the happening and to fap (internet slang for masturbate). The pictures and videos were accessed via Apple’s iCloud, which was automatically syncing the famous stars most private moments. In the past month, however, the full list of victims has swelled to include professional wresting stars, pop singers, musicians and comedians - including famous actor Kate Hudson, Walking Dead actor Lauren Cohan and British model Lacey Banghard. It was then that millions of fans realized that their idols are not perfect pictures from screens, but ordinary people who are subject to the same vices as you and I. And even more - great opportunities allowed popular girls to behave so shamelessly that it was even difficult to believe! Of course, the biggest response was caused by leaked photos of Jennifer Lawrence nude, as well as Emma Watson and Karen Gillan. Initially, victims included Emma Watson, star of the recently-released Beauty and the Beast remake, and actor Amanda Seyfried. The fappening leaks came in multiple waves: the first with 101 celebs, many of them A-list stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kaley Cuoco, Kirsten Dunst, Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
