Yet the differences are immediately noticeable on first nosing. It’s like night and day really. The 60’s Red Label has a lot more depth, texture, character and complexity. Yet I suspect that the newer recipe might be made to appeal to modern drinkers from the international markets. There is considerable smoothness and very little heat or smokiness in it.
