The size of the Jolie is also a bit of a double-edged sword. Although its minimalist design means it doesn’t dominate your kitchen space, you will find you’ll have to empty the capsule bin more frequently than you would with larger machines. I also found that, on occasion, lifting the lever would not cause the capsule to drop down into the bin immediately and that I would need to give it an encouraging prod to loosen it up (this is an issue that has affected a number of the Lavazza machines we’ve tested). Lavazza Jolie review: Should you buy it? The size of the machine’s water tank directly impacts how many drinks you can prepare in a row. This is because each espresso and coffee drink needs water for brewing, so the more water you have access to, the more drinks you can make.

The machine will notify you when its water tank needs to be refilled or its capsule drawer is full. To complete the descaling process, use a non-toxic and/or non-harmful type of descaling product for coffee machines, commonly available on the market. Operating the machine itself is effortless, as well. It’s a pod machine, so it takes premade capsules that you can just pop right in. Once the pod is in place, you choose the espresso or lungo button to determine whether you’re getting a large or small drink.

Lavazza coffee machines are unique, with different features to suit your needs. Discover innovative design, elegance and practicality in a machine perfect for your coffee corner. We offer many solutions to enjoy a real Italian espresso and other preparations. All the machines are designed to offer you an authentic experience, in every single cup. Looks aside, the Jolie is remarkably easy to use. With just one button, you can produce a consistently great-tasting espresso with the machine’s “Stop&Go” button, giving you full control over dosage. Simply press the button to begin the pour and then again to stop.

The A Modo Mio Tiny is the right Lavazza for you if you want two things from your machine: a small footprint and easy operation. This isn’t the kind of machine that you’ll have to fuss over for long to produce a drink. Another nifty quality about the Desea is its sound alerts. You don’t have to wait around at the machine while it brews; the machine will notify you when your drink is finished. Lavazza doesn’t have as wide a range as some other coffee machine manufacturers, so you’ll notice a lot of similarities from model to model. That being said, there are a few differences to keep an eye out for. Water tanks are a good starting point.Only insert Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules or capsules compatible with Lavazza A Modo Mio System into the capsule compartment. Do not place your fingers or any other objects in the capsule compartment. Where the Jolie really differs from its bulkier brethren is its control panel, which in this case is just a single button on the top of the machine. This is used to turn it on and pour espresso: it’s as simple as that. There’s no off button on the Jolie, either. Instead, it will shut itself off automatically after nine minutes of inactivity. Alternatively, you can switch it off at the plug. Limescale formation is a normal occurrence when using your coffee machine and will result in reduced water flow or cold coffee. For this reason, you will need to descale the machine every three months or so, and in any case everytime the descaling light on the appliance is switched on (for machine models equipped with descaling alert). If you live in an area where hard water is prevalent, then the descaling maybe required to be completed more frequently. Lavazza assumes no responsibility for damage to the machine resulting from failure to descale.

Another question worth asking yourself how large you like your drinks to be. One difference many Lavazza machines have is the amount of drink sizes they support. Lavazza capsule coffee machines represent the evolution of the best technology, offering you a traditional and authentic coffee experience that is both practical and full of flavour. Depending on your budget and desired amount of control over the coffee-making process, look out for these features. As we mentioned above, it’s one of the smallest Lavazza machines out there. Measuring 18.7 x 32.1 x 31cm, the A Modo Mio Tiny won’t eat up all the space you have in your kitchen. Operating this coffee capsule machine could not be easier than pushing a button. This machine is compatible with Nespresso Original pods, so simply load in your chosen flavour, and press the correct strength button. There are two buttons on this machine. The smaller cup button delivers enough coffee for a shot of espresso, while the larger button gives more coffee in the style of a lungo drink. Whichever button is pressed, you get the exactly desired amount of coffee each time. A Fantastic Start to the Day

Before buying the Lavazza Tiny

We suggest looking for something over a litre if you want to make drinks for groups or use your machine frequently throughout the day. Smaller water tanks are great if you want a more compact machine or will only be using it once or twice a day. Serving Sizes Multiple filter baskets: if you're after an espresso machine that can make double shots as well as single, choose a machine that offers two or more filter baskets for loading into the portafilter.
