Description

The in-display fingerprint sensor is on par with the one in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It's pretty fast and has a 95% accuracy rate. It’s also among the easiest to set up that we’ve used. The Pixel 6 Pro debuts with Android 12, which arrived for other supported Pixels on October 19. Although you get the same OS-level features on any Pixel from the Pixel 3/3 XL and above, the Pixel 6 Pro is where Android 12 shines, especially with the new Material You design language and theming system. With all these impressive specs and features, there had to be some weakness that might deter some from it and with the Pixel 6 Pro, it's the battery. It's certainly more than adequate for most tasks and provides a full-day usage, but we have noticed that it doesn't last as long when the phone is pushed harder than usual with graphically intensive tasks or when shooting 4K video or actively using the GPS. This is surprising because the 4,905 mAh capacity here is nothing to poke fun at in terms of pure numbers. The fast charging is also a bit underwhelming here - capping at 30W. At the very least, it goes to 50% in 30 mins. Wireless charging, on the other hand, is acceptable with up to 23W. Pixel 6 Pro: Price UK By comparison, the Galaxy S21 Ultra hit 110.9% of the sRGB and 81.4% of DCI-P, which is higher than the Pixel 6 Pro. But its color accuracy was a bit behind at 0.35. Google upgraded the hardware to complement the improved software algorithms and Tensor strengths. The main sensor is now 50MP, letting in 150% more light according to Google. The 12MP ultrawide camera has a 114-degree field of view and the 48MP telephoto sports a 4x optical zoom thanks to its folded optics. Overall, the Pixel 6 Pro can go up to a 20x digital zoom, with the AI-powered Super Res Zoom to help clean up the final images.

To use assistant you need to press the power button and hold it down. Not sure if you can even call it a power button, because I could not figure out how to power off my phone in the beginning. Rear camera: 50MP f/1.85 primary (82° FoV w/OIS), 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide (114° FoV), 48MP f/3.5 telephoto (23.5° FoV w/OIS, 4x optical and up to 20x “Super Res Zoom”)Google has publicly admitted that the Pixel 6 Pro has a maximum power draw of 23W, which is only a minor upgrade over the Pixel 5. It's also the same speeds you'd get from the new Pixel Stand. However it's significantly more than the 12W speeds you can get from a standard Qi charger. The Google Pixel 6 Pro was officially announced on October 19, 2021, after more than a month of teasers and reveals from the company. The Pixel 6 Pro release date was October 28 in the US, UK and Australia. Comparing the Google Tensor processor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, a common SoC for other flagships, is a difficult task. At the heart of it, Google and Qualcomm have different ideas about what a flagship SoC should be: Google created the Tensor processor specifically to fulfill the needs of its Pixel handsets, while the Snapdragon 888 SoC functions as an out-of-the-box option for manufacturers across the globe. The Tensor processor allows Google to focus exclusively on the features and experiences it believes Pixel owners want. Its curved edges ensure the phone sits comfortably in your hand, although some may find it a touch slippery to hold – we found that a case mitigated that issue.

The Pixel 6 Pro also supports Wi-Fi 6E. In our Wi-Fi tests, it averaged speeds of 501Mbps down and 47Mbps up at a distance of 10 feet from a 802.11AX router on Verizon's 5G home internet. Android 12 runs well on the Pixel 6 Pro, as you’d expect. Google has also confirmed that the phone will receive three full software updates, so you should expect this handset to continue being supported through the Android 13, Android 14 and Android 15 upgrades - and that it will get those updates more or less immediately after the software launches. The Exynos 5123 is the same modem in the international models of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. The modem supports 800Hz mmWave connectivity and 200MHz of Sub-6GHz 5G. According to Segan, "It's unclear whether the Exynos can do n41+n71 or n77+n5 carrier aggregation for next-generation standalone 5G performance the way Qualcomm's X60 modems can, but we also haven't found any of those schemes in the wild yet—that's a future feature."The Cloud White color Pixel 6 was second in the table with 20.14% of your vote. In-person, it’s very much “milky” rather than white, and it seems to hide fingerprints a little better than the other more colorful options in our experience. Android 12 is ready and waiting for you on this handset, and it looks fantastic. If you want to experience the latest and greatest version of Google’s software, this is it in its purest form. A 12MP ultra-wide sensor with a 1.25μm pixel width and f/2.2 aperture sits next to it. The lens has a 114-degree field of view. The lens elements minimize the distortion that’s common with small-format ultra-wide sensors. In benchmarking, the Pixel 6 Pro returned an average multi-core score in Geekbench 5 of 2760. That’s some way behind the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 3440, the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 3685 and the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4549.
