I'd read both reviews carefully to see which delivers the most brightness in the watchable movie/cinema modes. Gamma is also tracking slightly high (dark) from the mid-tones upwards to white, which is not ideal, but also doesn’t result in any major issues at all.

Since we are a registered VAT payer in the UK, there are no additional charges, nor will the package be held up for customs clearance. A large screen TV can cost considerably more, and still won’t be capable of an image as large as that produced by a projector.

As a home-entertainment projector—as opposed to a home-theater projector—it will likely perform better than most low-cost models in a room with ambient light, but not as good in a darkened home theater as models without a white segment in their color wheels, especially in terms of black level.

The supplied remote control with the TK800 is the same as that supplied with the slightly more expensive W1700 projector, so white plastic and well built.The TK800 doesn’t carry a native 3,840 x 2,160 set
of DLP ‘mirrors’, but can manipulate these mirrors fast enough to deliver two pixels from each mirror for every image frame. audio jacks (in and out), RS-232, a USB-A and mini-B USB port, 12V trigger port and VGA – although the latter is slightly redundant as it doesn’t support 4K.
