However, I didn't rate this a 5 as it wouldn't personally be a book i look at and think 'wow i want to read that' and much rather would be 'eh looks boring. Description:- The Extinction Trials: In Stormchaser and Lincoln's ruined world, the only way to survive is to risk everything. Phrases like ‘what on earth’ cannot be used in a fantasy world where a continent is known as ‘Earthasia. Some Battle Royale, fight to the death gore where the competitors not only have to worry about humans but also being eaten by terrifying dinosaurs.

Plot and character are masterfully woven together and the action - which is anything but frozen - sling-shots from stage to stage like an intergalactic spaceship' Daily Mail , on The Solar War . This is a 380 page rollercoaster of a ride, it's full of twists and turns that will keep any reader of 10+ , even reluctant reading boys, totally engaged. The only character that had any kind of arc was Storm, as despite Lincoln apologising to Storm at their final trial to select a winner, he still follows his plan from the very beginning. And then there's the whole complicated thing going on with Lincoln and his family, the admirable dedication that leads to tough choices during the book. I also found it interesting that the book is told from both their perspectives but seems to be more of a story about Storm. Most free hours are spent crocheting with my cat (in his presence - he sadly does not crochet), reading, and writing reviews. Written from two alternating points of view, Lincoln (who wants to save his sister's life with access to vital health care) and Stormchaser (who just wants to escape), both are risking their lives for the chance to make their lives better.

I have no doubt about it (you can quote me on that), it will also spawn a franchise of books, again I have no doubt about that too, as I know that the next book is due out in June 2018. If you thought Jurassic Park was good, and you thought the Hunger Games was good, what The Extinction Trials gives you is something original to this formula that you’ll devour rather quickly…like a T-Rex with a goat! Some of my all time favorite books, Howl's Moving Castle and Harry Potter, are targeted at younger audiences and they are still amazing. But overall, it was a fun read, with the different parts of the book split up into sections as well, and I'm very much looking to the second book coming out later this year, in summer.

I caught a single line, ONE SOLITARY LINE, in the entire book that sounded like a potential backstory bit and it said something like this: humans evolved on one continent, Earthasia, while Dinosaurs evolved in another: Piloria.

It’s poorly built and that’s infuriating double-time because the book boasts of being similar to the Hunger Games. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. While we are on the topic of Lincoln I would just like to say that the "romance" was old YA and honestly, I didn't think this shit was around anymore. She doesn’t believe that the dinosaurs should all be killed- a lot are harmless, especially her beloved Plesiosaurs- and she’s uneasy about stealing the eggs. Welcome to Panem: its Capitol repressively rules twelve satellite Districts, enslaving the populations as workers and controlling them through hunger.

A thrilling fast-paced romp through an alternate world in which resources are scarce, and humans have been pushed to the edge by man-eating dinosaurs. Some may not survive, but the winning group, depending on the stakes, has always received their prize.Alone, o The way the Stipulators treat other lives as expendable and worthless is eerily close to current political attitudes.
