Description

As of 2019 the access road was in the process of being concrete d and was still 50% unpaved. That is to say, it’s still under construction. Relax, it’s easily accessible by family sedan style motor vehicles during normal weather. During monsoon rain, you would need to be careful on the narrow access road. Cost of Sikatuna Mirror of the World Currently, The Mirror is in different phases of construction, with new landmarks unveiled to the public after each completed phase. Phase 1 was ready for visitors in 2018, and this area features landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Merlion, and Christ the Redeemer. The later phases promise other marvels, such as Dutch windmills, the Petronas Twin Towers, Big Ben, Mount Rushmore, and the Colosseum. Definitely bring some comfortable shoes. Whilst you don’t need to cover a lot of distance, there are quite a lot of stairs to climb. The Park opens in separate phases, introducing new landmarks to the visitors. Phase 1 opened in late 2018, beginning with the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge of California, the Merlion in Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty in New York. Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden

The light show is actually nothing fancy, but the main attractions of Christ the Redeemer, Singapore Merlion and Statue of Liberty do change color from white to red to blue. The biggest attraction at night may actually be escaping the oppressive daytime heat. Personally, I would prefer to visit at night for this reason. Dining Out at Mirror of the World The Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is in Barangay Libjo, Sikatuna, Bohol and owned by Jan Yngvar Kolstø and Ann Dulogan Kolstø. Their hope in creating this incredible park and garden is to share their experiences of traveling the world to other visitors.TAG-MNL – Daily flights (PR2774) with a travel time of 1.20 hours. Flights depart at 11:50AM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 1:10PM. As much as many of us would love to travel to different parts of the world, we’re often constrained by our time and budget to a few destinations a year at most. But what if you could see a multitude of famous landmarks all at the same time while soaking up a unique travel experience? A tourist van with a driver is another popular form of transport in Bohol. It is not difficult to hire an 8-10 seater van complete with driver. This is a great way to go because they can drive you all over the island and take you to a variety of Bohol attractions. Or they can suggest an itinerary to you. Visitors from Manila can book a direct flight to Bohol–Panglao International Airport via AirAsia and Philippine Airlines.

MNL-TAG – Daily flights (Z2350) with a travel time of 1.3 hours. Flights depart at 7:25AM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 8:55AM.

The Sikatuna Mirror of the World opens at 7 am and closes at 9 pm. The park takes on a different character at night when the light show cranks up. From Tagbilaran City, take a bus or jeepney bound for Sikatuna from the Dao Integrated Bus Terminal. Once in Sikatuna Public Market, take a tricycle or the haba-habal going to Libjo. Inform the habal-habal driver that you are headed to the Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden.

Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden exhibits scaled-down versions of world-famous landmarks. Visitors can explore Phase 1, beginning with Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge of California, the Merlion in Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty in New York. Soon to rise in Phase 2 are the Dutch Windmills of The Netherlands and the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. Phase 3 will bring Europe’s beautiful castles and chateaux and the historic Japanese Pagodas. Lastly, Phase 4 will present Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, London’s Big Ben, and the Petronas Twin Towers of Malaysia. TAG-MNL – Daily flights (Z2359) with a travel time of 1.3 hours. Flights depart at 1:30PM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 3PM. The usual transportation for Tagbilaran is tricycle, where paying passengers can travel across town for around 50 pesos. Unfortunately, Mirror of the World is out of the normal range of a tricycle, thus you will need to find some other form of transportation. Drive a Car When it comes to things to do in Bohol, most visitors normally hit the beach or the lush forests. It’s a welcome addition to add something completely different to your Bohol trip. Upon entry to this destination, you’ll be greeted by colorful orchids, lush palm trees, and other native flora. The garden paths are neat and well-maintained, with plenty of chairs for resting and simply enjoying the crisp, clean air.
