The LG V60 is a decent flagship in its own right, but the detachable Dual Screen paired with it is a novel accessory that may seriously appeal to the multitaskers, gamers, and screen fiends of the world. By itself, the phone has looks we’d expect on a Samsung flagship, including a pearl-hued glass back, gold-ish trim around the camera bump, and burnished aluminum sides. So as the title says, is there anyone here using a t-mobile variant of the v60 in the UK, and if so does it work fine on 3g/4g?

Yep, this is one of the few high-end phones that still have the port for plugging a pair of wired headphones. Yeah, the 3g coverage is a thing for me as I tend to only get 4g when outside, it reverts to 3g indoors and I think that may be an issue for me with this phone as it needs to be a daily driver - as far as I can see the USA variants don't support the right bands for UK use. Without an optical telephoto lens, the LG V60 relies on ‘crop zoom’ that maxes out at 10x by essentially cropping in on a portion of a photo taken by the main camera: this works much like the digital zoom capabilities of other flagships with high-megapixel sensors. I just checked my date of purchase and it's 24 June - so I might be lucky - unless they decide to check for my non-dutch address! While LG doesn't commit to multi-year software updates, it’s likely the V60 will at least get an update through the next major iteration.

On the left you’ll find the volume and Google Assistant buttons, while the power button sits on the right. While the V60 misses out on a few of the nicer perks of the comparably-sized Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus (like 12GB of RAM and triple-rear cameras), it’s also notably cheaper. There are a few exceptions: apps that display across both screens, including LG’s proprietary Whale web browser, as well as several games and most of Google’s app suite.We did notice some minor mushy details in a few shots, but they're nearly impossible to spot without close examination—they look fine if you don't pixel peep. However, while some of these are neat to play with, the gap between the screens is cumbersome, meaning only some apps, like Google Maps, are useful to view this way. Just don't plan on taking a lot of long-distance photos, as this phone lacks a telephoto lens; instead, keep the still shots close, and the video even closer to see where its camera performs best. As flagship smartphones continue to cross the thousand-dollar mark, LG is bucking the trend with its new V60 5G ThinQ.

We use industry standard tests to compare features properly and we use the phone as our main device over the review period. I've found different sources stating that some of the bands aren't present in the USA variants - not bothered about 5g, just as long as I can get 3 and 4g on o2 it's fine. To their credit, however, they did introduce LG's Dual Screen accessory into LG's eco-system, which essentially turns The LG V40 and V50 ThinQ were.In our battery rundown test, in which we stream HD video over Wi-Fi at full brightness, we got an impressive 11 hours and 58 minutes of rundown time, close to the S20 Ultra's 12 hours and 4 minutes. This seems odd, but it allows for the two panels to mirror each other exactly, which actually makes more sense in use. Doing the above might be useful since, as it’s an unpowered peripheral, the Dual Screen runs off the LG V60’s battery, and predictably, using it drains the battery, even more so if you’re running a demanding task like watching media; this can be mitigated in the usual ways, by dimming the brightness of either display.
