Description

The Shelly DS18B20 temperature sensor is the right add-on for your SMART HOME. if you want to monitor the room temperature. The DS18B20 Probe is the ideal instrument of the Shelly line to measure the temperature of the environment in which it is located. We use our probe by connecting it with the compatible ADDON CHIP for SHELLY 1 and SHELLY 1PM. With the sensor, the radiators in the living room can be optimally adjusted. The heating works efficiently and at the same time you save on costs. Suitable for outdoor use Using the homeassistant.update_entity service for an entity belonging to a battery-powered device is not possible because most of the time these devices are sleeping (are offline). A perfect design combined with a battery lasting up to 16 months that keeps your home always comfortable.

An awning that follows the weather - Outdoor motorized awnings offer pleasant shade for your guests on sunny days. However, a strong, unexcepted wind can damage them beyond repair. By combining it with a wind sensor connected to the Shelly Plus Add-on, Shelly Plus 2PM can automatically close the outside awning to protect them from the wind. Additionally, Shelly Plus Add-on with a rain sensor can trigger Shelly Plus 2PM to open the awning just in time to protect your guests. The integration offers device services which can be triggered by a configuration button. OTA firmware update Overall, I’ll give Shelly credit for something that looks a bit different to your average sensor, but I imagine you’ll either love it or hate it. Personally, it’s not something I plan on looking at, to be honest, so looks aren’t that important, but my first impressions are that whilst it feels reasonably sturdy, it does feel a bit cheaply made. Still, for around €19,99 I’m not expecting it to compete with the likes of Eve products, for example, which are always very well designed. How it performs is what matters, if you don’t intend for it to be a talking piece at parties…

Both generations are supported by this integration. There are some differences in how devices should be configured and in the naming of entities and devices between generations. Shelly device configuration (generation 1) Turn the cheapest heaters into the smartest devices with Shelly Humidity & Temperature Sensor and Shelly Plug - you can automatically control any electric heater. 365-Day History

You can use this entity in your automations. EventsDepending on how a device’s button type is configured, the integration will create binary sensors corresponding to those inputs. binary sensors are not created when the button type is momentary or momentary_on_release, for these types you need to use events for your automations.
