Sweden's vintage gear loving Death and Vanilla continue to defy expectation with their singular take on pop music as they present this new album Flicker. I bought this vinyl after finding a totally random interest in Niall Horan after listening to stuff from the One Direction day’s! Marleen Nilsson, Anders Hansson and Magnus Bodin present their sixth full-length album as Death And Vanilla.

Add in elements of Spiritualized and Talking Heads with a hint of Brian Eno and you chose have a good idea of what to expect here. I'll still give it 5/5 stars because of the sound quality which is very nice and dynamic, but I absolute hate when records come without an anti-static sleeve.Gram Black Vinyl -- Niall Horan is set to release his debut solo album, Flicker, on vinyl on November 10. Horan mentions how “Flicker” is a very important album for him and is something that he “worked tirelessly on” for the past year and a half.

Add this must-have vinyl to your collection and enjoy the rich, warm sound of Niall Horan's music on high-quality vinyl. I remember looking for this album on record for the longest time, and when I finally found it I was very excited.Housed in a beautifully austere post-ironic de-constructed sleeve; Flicker is a modern reflection on these difficult times. Every record is shipped in original factory-applied shrink wrap and has never been touched by human hands. In August 2017, Horan debuted several songs from the album during a live show at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London. Written almost as a conversation with his teenage self, it follows the triumphant solo debut that was 2020’s The View From Halfway Down. Some of these songs date back to the ’90s and the cognitive dissonance of writing brand new lyrics over songs that are 20-plus years old makes it feel like it is, almost literally, me exchanging ideas with my younger self.

As much as this is a modern sounding and forward-looking record, it’s also very much about looking back, something that is clear from the first glimpse of the front cover – a previously unseen outtake from Joe Dilworth’s photo sessions for the inner sleeve of Ride’s debut album, ‘Nowhere’. I have only played this once, but I remember being a little let down with the lack luster sound quality.

They are dub reggae, motorik Can kicks, Philip Glass's minimalism and dreamy but dark pop spins from The Cure. At first I thought this was a very noisy record, but then I realized that it was just static noise, so I had to wet clean it before playing for the first time, and after that all the noise went away.
