Description

This game can really help students to explore their storytelling ability, helping them to make new friends and share their creative side with one another. Students should be encouraged to present their story after an assigned time, or you can have students complete a “gallery walk,” in which they walk around the room reading each other’s stories and writing a positive comment next to each one. This is a great wedding game to play towards the beginning of a reception since it acts as an icebreaker. Guests simply stand up when they agree with whatever funny question or statement is read aloud. I would talk to your DJ about planning some fun music samples to play for this. Giant Jenga Mini Golf Set up a mini course for the golf-loving guests. See if the parents can beat the scores of their newlywed children! All right. You get to sit down if you choose to share your response. You get to sit down if you choose to share your response. Who’s up for it? Okay, here we go. Speaker 1: One of my favorite strategies for getting students to respond in a different way is to play the stand-up game.

Instead of just waiting for people to raise their hand, everybody is already standing. It’s a way to flip that mode of participation. Prepare 5–8 statements on a recent topic (English or other subjects, e.g. maths, science, geography). These statements should be a mixture of true and false. Ask kids to stand in a circle, each holding a differently colored ribbon or string. The children toss their ribbons to someone else, creating a beautiful, colorful web of interconnectedness. This activity symbolizes friendship and unity, and students are always fascinated by the result of this fun game.Say: ‘Work with a partner. Can you remember the sentences? Write only true sentences in your books. You have three minutes.’ Students take turns pretending, while the other students guess what they are acting out. Change this activity to meet other group topics by requesting that students act out something about families or a friendship problem. You can take it a step further by processing the charade or problem after each turn and having the group generate solutions. These stand-up sit-down games include Guess the Couple, Musical Chairs Love Edition, Wedding Trivia, Wedding Mad Libs, Wedding Charades, Wedding Limbo, Wedding Musical Statues, and Wedding Piñata. Each game is briefly described with an example to provide readers with an understanding of how they work. If the teacher says a number greater than 10, students expand their bodies to take up as much space as they can (while keeping their feet firmly planted on the ground—no running around). If the teacher says a number less than 10, students shrink their bodies to take up the least space they can. If the teacher gives the number 10 exactly, students hold their body neutrally and make an equals sign with their arms. As before, the teacher moves to sums and differences once students get the rules.

Divide children into teams and provide each team with a whiteboard, markers, and a set of cards with simple drawings or words. One player from each team draws a card and must convey the word or phrase to their teammates through drawing, without speaking. The teacher calls out a number (3), and the students have 10 seconds to get themselves into groups of that size. It might be impossible for everyone to get in a group every time, but each new number gives everyone another chance. In the basic game, just call out single numbers. Once students get the gist, you can call out addition or subtraction problems (i.e., “get into groups of 7-4”). Don’t forget to call out a group of 1 and a group of however many students are in the entire class at some point in the game. As you can see, this activity is easily adaptable to any and all groups! Easy Group Counseling Activity #2: Stand Up, Sit Down Activity Friendship or Social Skills Group: “You found out you’re not invited to a friend’s birthday party.” (This one always brings up good dialogue!) Let’s take a closer look at the questions in the book. – Where was the first stand-up sit-down game played? – What is the definition of a trivia game? – What other games does the trivia book have? – What is the difference between a question and an answer? – What are some sample questions from the book? – What are some common mistakes that people make when playing the game? Outdoor Wedding Games

Speaker 3: This treatment within the Congo and its people, along with showing the dehumanization of the Congolese. This is a variation on the classic Charades game and works particularly well for kindergarten students. How to play: This game is easy to make with a piece of plywood and some paint! Set aside an area in your outdoor wedding space for this game of giant dominoes. Include simple directions on a nearby chalkboard or card, and even bring kids into the game by pairing them up with an adult teammate. Time Capsule: Cover an empty Pringles can with colored paper; you may need to use several if you have a large class. Each student will create a self-portrait and write three things that are important about them. Roll the self-portraits and add them to the time capsule. Sometime during the last week of school, break open the time capsule and let your kiddos see the changes.

A simple game which allows people to express where they stand on an issue - by literally standing along an imaginary spectrum. For example, if you fold toilet paper, stand on the right hand side of the room, if you scrunch stand on the left! Balloon Pop Wall A balloon wall pop welcomes guests to seek messages and prizes inside a wall of balloons just waiting to be popped! Set Up :Large dice with dots or numbers based on teacher preference, items to build a tower i.e. Legos or Unifix cubes or counting items i.e. teddy bear counters. I would love to know what icebreaker you have used that has really worked for you in your classroom.
