Description

The all-new HyperFlex Carbon shoe features a moulded carbon fibre power plate that delivers Tour-level stability and performance. HyperFlex Carbon offers additional underfoot cushioning with an OrthoLite® Impressions FitBed®. Another way in which the FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon differs from traditional knit shoes is the weight. In a size 13, these weigh in at a hefty 17.9 ounces, compared to the TRUE Linkswear Knit 3 [review HERE] at 11.7 ounces. If you’re a walker, that is something to consider. Hyper Power: HyperFlex Carbon offers additional underfoot cushioning with an OrthoLite® Impressions FitBed®. HYPER CONTROL: The Power Stabiliser outsole harnesses lateral movement through the swing and ensures a secure foundation. The ThermoPlastic saddle strap wraps the foot to provide additional lateral and medial support and control throughout the golf swing.

Power is a huge part of the modern golf game, whether you’re a professional or an amateur, and FootJoy’s Optiflex outsole provides the perfect balance of the flexibility needed for walking and the stability in the golf swing needed to maximise power. Slip on a pair of the new Hyperflex carbon shoes, and you’ll also benefit from a power plate made from moulded carbon fire that delivers Tour-level performance and stability. An OrthoLite Impressions FitBed also optimises underfoot cushioning.HyperFlex and HyperFlex Carbon are equipped with Pulsar LP cleats by Softspikes® low profile spikes that deliver stability and support from the moment you step foot onto the course. OrthoLite EcoPlush Fit-Bed ensures all-day underfoot comfort and does not take a set, so the cushioning remains the same for the life of the shoe The HyperFlex family of golf shoes features FootJoy’s OptiFlex outsole that’s been bolstered by six traction cleats. The OptiFlex outsole was designed with flex (or relief) points that move with your foot as you walk. This makes walking not only feel more natural but comfortable as well. Here are a few more reasons to treat yourself to a new pair of Hyperflex or Hyperflex Carbon golf shoes this spring.

Fit: Full rounded toe, full fit across forefoot and instep, slightly narrow heel, added toe spring for an athletic profile Enjoy support and stability the moment you set foot on the course with Softspike’s Pulsar LP cleats. Whenever you buy a pair of FootJoy golf shoes, you do so knowing the company has been the #1 golf shoe manufacturer for over 100 years. FootJoy has five key areas it works on, quality, style, comfort, innovation, and performance, and if you loved your first pair of FootJoys, you’ve probably already bought more. The technology is there and the claims are bold. Can the HyperFlex and HyperFlex Carbongolf shoes live up to to the hype? You’ll be the first to know. On-Course Traction: HyperFlex and HyperFlex Carbon are equipped with Pulsar LP cleats by Softspikeslow profile spikes that deliver stability and support from the moment you step foot onto the course. The upper of the Hyperflex shoe is made from a high performance engineered mesh with TPU yarns that combines with a soft and comfortable athletic waterproof knit upper to deliver incredible retention properties, while providing waterproof protection. The OptiFlex Outsole provides lightweight stability and performance & the Pulsar LP Cleats by Softspikes provide stability and support from the moment you step foot onto the course. Breathable Performance Mesh: Vacuumed formed engineered mesh with moulded ribbed knit saddle for structure and support. Finally, as expected from FootJoy, the HyperFlex Carbon does have a very tall, traditional heel. If you’re a longtime FootJoy wearer, this will feel very natural. However, if you’re used to natural motion shoes, this will be an adjustment. Just as with clubs, there’s not a right or wrong on heel drop, but you need to find what’s comfortable for you. The original HyperFlex golf shoe was a very popular model as well as one of the most athletic styles FootJoy has offered across its extensive history. Updated for 2023, the new HyperFlex range comes in three men's models - HyperFlex, HyperFlex BOA, and HyperFlex Carbon. The HyperFlex Carbon features - you guessed it - carbon fiber in the construction, as well as a few more bells and whistles to battle for the crown of the best golf shoe of the year and earn a place in our 2023 Editor's Choice. Thanks to the soft spikes the grip was exceptional on the course, but I would say maybe too good. Before my first round, I was on the driving range and struggled to get my feet turning through my swing as they gripped the mat too well, which I thought could have hurt after more and more swinging, however on the course and with some give in the ground they worked wonderfully.

Keep cool under pressure with a breathable performance mesh that’s combined with a ribbed knit saddle for support and structure. Enjoy the ultimate comfort golf shoe experience with a 100% waterproof mesh upper, StratoFoam, and OrthoLite Impressions. Breathable Performance Mesh: Vacuumed formed engineered mesh with moulded ribbed knit saddle for structure and The molded carbon fiber “power plate” should make the HyperFlex Carbon more stable, thanks to added rigidity in the midsection of the foot bed. Carbon fiber plates aren’t new to footwear (distance running shoes take advantage of the same stiffening and energy return properties) but they are still fairly new to golf shoes. The HyperFlex Carbon is undoubtedly not the first shoe to feature this technology and it surely won’t be the last. However, this is the first time FootJoy has outfitted the popular HyperFlex with carbon fiber. The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon wide golf shoes are stable, durable, washable and should have no problem outliving their two-year waterproof warranty. (If only they came in that purple color scheme.)Vacuumed formed engineered mesh upper with a molded ribbed knit saddle for improved structure and support Last year’s HyperFlex BOA took the crown as the most comfortable spiked shoe of 2022. Can the new HyperFlex match that same energy? Time will tell. Anything Else?
