Also, this may be a minor spoiler, but the duck scenes in the show are absolutely hilarious to say the least. The stories tend to be on the formulaic side, but if written well and made different enough, I really enjoy them.

V02 unfortunately steered things to a more cliche direction, especially re: the OGFL who is the worst kind of mindlessly evil white lotus there is. Deeply looking forward to seeing what she will do next and appreciate how she takes matters into her own hands. He was forced to forfeit his right to the throne because he’s a demon (I don’t really know all the details of why exactly he’s a demon) and his little brother Cedric now holds that right.

Coming off the energy of the second volume, I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss Volume 3 was my most anticipated manga from Yen Press this month. And given that it's based on a web novel from 2017, it seems like it's one of the earlier stories in the genre, so I won't hold lack of originality against it. To my dismay, the worst fears are realized, and the anime is done in such a way that it dishonours the source material. But time is running out, and it is up to Aileen to change the course of not only her tragic ending but Claude's as well. But so Demon King Claude is shocked when Aileen proposes to him in the beginning of the volume and kicks her out of his territory.

The first volume introduces Aileen, the wicked Duke’s daughter, who regained her past life memories; she realizes she’s quickly headed to the bad ending where she meets her doom! I was intrigued by the "heroine" and wish we had a little more detail about her character, but I love that Aileen really took over as the heroine and captured her man! Part of the reason why I like this manga is that Aileen, even when she regains some of her memories from her past life, she's still prideful. Taming the Final Boss' is a mildly enjoyable diversion at best: it's an uninspired romantic comedy in an uninspired fantasy setting with a convoluted premise, a badly rushed plot, and lackluster romance and comedy.Aileen is the female antagonist in a fantasy dating video game, and once her prince has broken off their engagement for the commoner with whom he has fallen in love, she becomes self-aware enough to have a flash of a sick person IRL and prescient knowledge that all her outcomes in the game lead to death in three months. Damn, looks like Isekai has a new winning formula that's only starting to pick up right now, but only getting more predictable as time passes.

Despite this stumble, there’s plenty that I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss Volume 3does right. Overall; I wish the manga explored this cool concept and a MC who is ACTUALLY A STRONG ONE more but the novel is still running so give it a chance if you want to read what happens next. This is especially so if you can get the reference of the source title itself to tame the "Final Boss", and for one, Alieen already has her sights set on the game's "Final Boss" that is Claude Jean Ellmeyer, the lord of the demons, and simultaneously the older brother and former heir to the throne whom he lost his claim to his younger brother Cedric, who is the default love interest of the game's heroine.Though the setup is superficially similar to this year's excellent 'Trapped in a Dating Sim', what develops is much less impressive: like a winning chess position, except every piece is slightly misplaced. Although we have our usual setting of the isekaied otome player in the role of the villainess, trying to avoid the rad flags and, ultimately, her fate from the game, the turn the story takes is a little bit different, with the MC trying to get the help of the majestic, incredibily handsome, and lonely Demon King. how could I give it anything less and do I want to pauper myself by getting the manga as well, stars!
