And the grovel at the end was just right and felt authentic in its moment although the heroine was a bit too hard on the hero, just sayin'. Our Valkyrie, Luce, starts her story as a fourteen year old girl living in a toxic familial environment. Maybe even being saved like a gorgeous damsel and having said celebrity crush sweep her off of her feet. LOL I really don’t understand authors using this so much but honestly you could see this breakup happening from the very beginning of the story and there were some plot holes that happen throughout this one here.

One that shakes him out of the grump he’s permanently in and turns him into a reasonable human being. Her dad said he needed to teach Luce how to share since Luce’s grandpa will give her his inheritance.

This is the second book I've read of this author and I just wanted to say that if you want a book that gives you emotional whiplash this is it. It takes a while for the book to gain steam and move forward on the story line and the relationship between Luce and Deb. Both Sebastian and Lucianne come from families that are determined to control them but both of them have such passionate warrior hearts willing to do whatever it takes to be independent from their families desires for them and forge their own paths. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.Might be because he’s an asshole, she fears him, they are/were enemies, whatever the reason, she never gives him her warmth and he just now realised it and wants it back. She shares an apartment overlooking a river and palm trees in Japan with her husband, winter white hamsters and an ever-widening pile of books. He wants a long term relationship that leads to marriage and a house full of kids, but I want nothing to do with being tied down to someone. I am cool with fillers, but at some points, it felt like it was taking away from the story rather than enhancing it. But even so, I’m glad you enjoyed it so much otherwise, and that you’re wanting to read more from the author. There were a lot of "my wife" scenes, which I usually love but unfortunately don't compensate for this mess.The H is actually pretty nice and protective once he gets over his snit, and boy does this heroine need protecting.
