About this deal

Most of his transformation would have been a great way to spend Halloween Kills instead of waiting for the next obnoxious chant of “ EVIL DIES TONIGHT. Home Entertainment's Black Adam topped both the the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week, Paramount Home Media Distribution's Top Gun: Maverick remained .

Universal unleashes an excellent 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release with an excellent Dolby Vision transfer, an impressive Atmos audio track, and a fine assortment of bonus features to dig through. Ending “Halloween” – “Halloween” could never truly end without a decisive showdown between Laurie and Michael. While Laurie and Corey get the most character care and attention, Allyson is frustratingly pushed to the side. Gore effects also get plenty of attention with the ghastly kills getting their due complete with oozy crimson blood work. which may have been the point but was mishandled IMHO) and some weak linkages back to the previous film (seems like suddenly Haddonfield remembered Myers when the night/film before not so much.A Different Threat – As Haddonfield evolves to a new era, we examine how the evil within has also evolved.

Final Girl – The iconic Jamie Lee Curtis discusses the legacy of Laurie Strode and what playing the character has meant to her. And yet replacing Myers with a new kill buddy/substitute whilst neutering him almost completely was deemed an acceptable narrative for what was promised to be the epic finale to end all slasher films?

If ever an opening credits font could serve as a warning shot, the use of the Halloween III: Season of the Witch font was it. Im nervenzerreißenden Abschluss der legendäre Horror-Kultfilmreihe aller Zeiten tritt Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) ein letztes Mal dem menschgewordenen Bösen Michael Myers gegenüber. The third and final film in Green’s trilogy hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital this month with a Collector’s Edition home release loaded with extras. and yet upon release, the howls of derision that greeted the film from the most ardent sections of Halloween fandom (full disclosure: myself included) let Blumhouse (the film’s producers), Green and Curtis know that they had singularly failed to deliver on any of their hype or on their promises. Throughout, there's enough happening in each scene to keep those surround and height channels active and engaged.Halloween Kills” followed and the sequel marked a steep decline in quality, and unfortunately the finale, “Halloween Ends,” is more of the same. However buried deep within the deleted scenes is a single scene that hinted at what could and should have been – while one of the characters is being killed, the kids of Haddonfield are going gonzo, hinting at the transference of evil linked back to the herd mentality message of the previous film.

Final Girl (4K, 4:40) – A tribute to working with Jamie Lee Curtis, her legacy on this franchise and herself coming to terms with it being her final go at it. I loved all of this stuff because it felt real and emotionally raw and was actually a smart path to take for a franchise riddled with stupidity.

The film really works the quiet moments allowing big locations like the opening house plenty of atmosphere. Going back to that tunnel location, it’s quiet and creepy with dripping water, echo, and shuffling feet scraping on the concrete for another immersive location example.
