Many other focal lengths were made and the war surplus 5 inch f/4 was used by Harold Ridley as a 5inch x 4inch enlarging lens giving excellent results although designed as a taking lens. As far as the OPTICS go, these were very sharp almost to the edges of the FOV but I would have to say that the Pentax PCF WP II's have a flatter FOV towards the edges, but not in a hugely noticable way. It is easy to see the colour aberrations in this binocular and it would make a good subject for optical students to look through. So I'm getting 200 x 5 channels for the mains and side surrounds, and 60W x 6 channels for the rear surrounds and Atmos. Centrally it is round, but as soon as you go off axis it becomes oval and then more elliptical at the edge of the eye lens.
