About this deal

I hope that when I begin to feel sorry for myself for things I cannot change I look on the Bright Side. She has made the most of the crap that life has dealt her and is one of these people that puts everybody first.

It’s about living it to the fullest and not taking it for granted because life could easily take an unexpected turn. I tried to post a comment yesterday after I found this site upon finishing Bright Side, but it seems to have been lost in cyber-space, so let’s try this thing again… I started to put together a Spotify playlist two nights ago when, halfway through Bright Side I realised that this book NEEDED a soundtrack, because the words I was reading were so… EPIC. Every time I hear it I can see Gus in my head in the recording studio singing his heart out … and it gives me goosebumps.Other songs that filled my head whilst reading this book was Kyle Eastwood and Ben Cullum’s version of Sting’s Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (I’d like to think Kate would be open to a little jazz and she is just magic! Kate tries to suppress her intensifying feelings for him, but the more she gets to know him, the more she falls for everything about him. On the Bright Side is written by Hendrik Groen and translated by Hester Velmans and is published by Michael Joseph, an imprint of Penguin Books. Having experienced these things as a child, I can tell you that feeling like an outsider, and feeling shame is the toughest part.

EAN: 9788416224524 Tipo: Libros Categoría: Novelas románticas para jóvenes Título: Bright Side: el Secreto Está en el CorazónAutor: Holden, Kim| Hernández Armas, Idaira Editorial: Oz Editorial Idioma: ES Páginas: 464 Información adicional: (oz Editorial). Dealing with the anxiety of living on a bus, in a car, in a shelter, or being hungry and cold isn’t as tough as the things that happen in full view of your peers. That being said though, the heroine is a pretty refreshing character and the dry humor and sarcasm present in the book were things I could appreciate. I don't have a personal experience in the subject matter so I don't know how I would cope being at either side of the story, but I know for sure it requires a lot of strength for all involved. Hendrik has invested time and effort in his friendships and when they’re under threat, it affects him deeply. Thanks for making the playlist, I hope it helps with the book hangover, I’ve never experience one so intense.

There were times it did feel a bit cliché but at the end of the day these thoughts were soon forgotten and I find myself reflecting on the feelings I experienced and what a profound effect this book had on me. I remember hearing them for the first time when I was in eighth grade and it literally flipped a switch inside me. I live in Denver, Colorado with my high school sweetheart, our super cool son, two crazy weenie dogs, and a spoiled rotten kitty who rules us all. After very slowly reaching the 70 percent mark I had put this book aside feeling that the rest of the story would be anticlimax. Her postivity and always looking at the "bright side" of things made me (as the reader) think about my own life and remaining positive.

Keller brought out a side in her that we didn’t get to see until it was too late – The scene where she goes to Keller drunk and soaked in the rain was so powerful. We begin the book with our main character, Kate Sedgewick arriving in Minnesota and about to start college. The narrators were perfect, the storyline just as raw and wonderful as the first time, and having just finished it, I’m saying the same thing to myself while I sob “I am not okay!
