About this deal
Manufactured to take up less space than a conventional turntable, a Pioneer CDJ 400 player will need to be placed on a flat surface for it to function reliably.
You can also save all your custom loops and cues to a USB key, either as a backup or so you can take your custom points to other people's CDJs.or won't it be able to accept such long tracks -> i have a premade set mp3 analysed track on my stick, will this work on the cdj 400 like it does on the 2000nxs?
The scratch effects are momentary, or with the "HOLD" button can be applied after the platter has been released. Time will tell if it is an innocent service friendly gateway into the guts of the Pioneer family or something that eventually ties them all together in some Pioneeresque digital way. I tested the CDJ-400 with a couple of different USB keys, an iPod video, several MP3 CD-ROM disks and some standard audio CDs, and it performed without a hitch. Plug in a USB key and not only does it ruin the CDJ-400’s sleek looks, but it’s also just waiting to get snared up in cables or knocked and damaged. If you are using Rekordbox software then you can use the CDJ400 to control the software, but it would need setting up.The only negative in regard to the mix, it's time to load memory sticks (greater than 2GB) that is slow! If you need to cover your jog dials please check out our other items for our carbon fibre / iridescent covers / protectors.
