This Glenglassaugh Revival SIngle Malt is the first whisky to be made at the distillery since it reopened in 2008 after 22 years of silence. Initially debuted in 2012, this was the first Whisky to be released by Genglassaugh after re-opening in 2008. The Glenglassaugh Revival has been matured in a balanced mix of ex-red wine and fresh bourbon casks, vatted and re-racked for double maturation in rich sherry casks. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.

Its flavours are mellowed with the warm spice, honey and rich fruit characteristics of the Solera vat, inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal. Usually I'd say each to his own, but there were six of us having a taster night and everyone disliked this. During the 20th century, Glenglassaugh whisky was mainly used in Highland Distillers blends, such as Famous Grouse, with official distillery bottlings being rare.
