About this deal

The Kenwood BM250 bread maker gives flexibility, you can choose from a 500g, 750g and 1kg sized bread loaf, depending on how hungry you're feeling that is.

The Kenwood BM450 has 15 programmes for bread, doughs, cakes and jams, and a rapid bake setting for a fresh loaf of bread in as little as 58 minutes. For added convenience, the internal oven light and viewing window make it possible to inspect your bread-making progress. Having used another brand of bread maker, and then gave up due to density of the loaf, I came across this one.

With a wide array of pre-programmed recipes, including artisan, gluten-free or pizza dough, cake and jam functions, raisin/nut dispenser, and three loaf sizes, there's not much it can't do.

My Kenwood totally different story - I like wholemeal with lots of seeds in it and the bread from the Kenwood is wonderful (I use 4/10 wholemeal and 1/10 white which does it for me. Also haven't quite got to grips with the 1 hour fast bake as the books recipe is for a 1kg loaf but the fast bake puts it on 750g so the bread needs 'finishing off' in the oven. We’ve used sunflower and poppy seeds, but you can have fun with different taste and texture combinations-mix it up by adding sesame or pumpkin seeds next time. The water will leak out from the breadpan and could anyone please let me know what is the problem and how to fix it? The machine arrived on Xmas day: as soon as it was unpacked, we did throw flour, water, yeast, salt and sugar in it and 3.Overall a nice little machine that makes nice bread that lasts around 3 days if put in a plastic bag, so well worth it. The bearing(assuming it's got one)in the bread pan is seizing to the point where it's difficult to turn the kneading blade by hand, no wonder the machine sounded like it was struggling lately !

Please check the type and record the date code, which can be found on the rating plate, located on the underside of the product. A great recipe to try if you’re new to making bread, this loaf is ideal for sandwiches, or simply enjoy it toasted, with lashings and slathered with of butter. Mine has produced excellent bread, no problems with the pan moving, indeed I have trouble in removing it. The sourdough starter may take some time to make, but you can keep it indefinitely, meaning it’s a labour of love that truly pays off.We have repeatedly made excellent granary bread with this machine, and made one very good white loaf, although we didn't use the recipe in the book. This machine is much better than the previous model, the one I purchased had only been used a few times and it is as new.
